You do realize that even riders from the front crashed yesterday, don't you?
I do, that "smartness" reference was to the fact that he used this chance to gain precious time instead of playing stupid Cancellara like stop the race now.
Cancellara? You can't be talking about the Arenberg stage in the Tour

How does this karma thing work anyway? How do we know it wasn't actually packback for Evans for something that happened earlier in his career?
GPS seem to be a bit behind the actual time gap by a few seconds, but still going to be a close catch.

I'd rather the race was decided during real battle not freak accidents and crashes.
This is the real battle too. Also even if it sounds harsh, this can bring us much more entertainmnet in the rest of Giro. Without those gaps, we would probably see typical last two kms in the MTF stage action and nothing before from the favourites. I am not happy for crashes, but i am realistic.

Hansen in there instead of one of the Colombians, and that could've worked...

Hey BMC, it is inside 3km now. Or are you trying to be a sprint team?

Crap. Bouhanni takes it, Nizzolo is 2nd and Mezgec is 3rd.

Viviani had to sit up after his leadout man got clipped, hence his poor position. Battaglin in 7th though! |

On of these days Nizzolo might win a stage, while Bouhanni seems to be kickin' on from his victory in Bari.

Very funny. I think from next year, riders should start riding in massive packaging films, so they cannot be harm by crashes. But that does not adress their time loss, so my next suggestion is neutralizing every stage where anyone crashes, because that is not fair. Or maybe actually restricting the riders to ride 20kms/h max, only on dry roads and if it is not enough, move the races to wind tunnels. You can measure their wattage and we have the winner.
Bike of the next Giro winner...

..Bouhani and Nizzolo so much faster then Mezgec. I still admire Giant how they manage to control a sprint final km's. |
