Good signing for Costa indeed. The only letdown is that he will ride in the second ugliest jersey in the WT from now. |

Decent climber I'd say.
For some reason, has a DNF behind his name twice in the Giro Valle D'Aosta. Well, he was 25th & 32th in the GC then.
Nothing impressive, really.
Btw, it's better to use Procyclingstats for results from smaller races.

Well I think it's quite nice and stands out well in the peloton. I like that color combination but seems we have different preferences here. |

Yes, it's the top signing for next season, the only problem is how he's going to cope with Scarponi and Cunego. In my opinion, he's as good as both, but they're more experienced and it should be a bit tough to slide as a leader in a team containing the three, who are actually a bit similar. |

Cunego the same level as Costa, really?
Costa is 50x better than Cunego currently and Scarponi, well, he has maybe one more season at the top. |

Cunego should retire, is embarassing right now. Scarponi might leave the team...
Costa will be the leader in every race he enters |

Scarponi rides always the Giro, Costa can do the Tour. I don't see the problem really.
And is there seriously anyone left who still thinks that Cunego can ride a good GC, except for Cunego himself? |

Not just GTs, but also the smaller WT tours like Tirreno and Paris-Nice. But i'm sure Rui Costa is going to shine brighter than ever next year. |

Cunego finished 6th in the 2012 Giro. (That is not long ago). Costa's best GT result is 18th... |

Ok, true that. Altough this year Cunego has been somehow just meh. Still, I don't consider currently, Costa a better GT rider than Cunego. |

And he was 6th in the 2011 Tour. But given the proper chance, Rui Costa will place himslef in similar spots. And Cunego was always a leader as he carried on his shoulders Lampre since he won the Giro in 2004. Rui Costa climbed up ladder by ladder since he was an U23. He was 2nd in the 2008 Tour de l'Avenir and won the Swiss Tour twice. |

Costa leads Movistar only at Tour de Suisse, he never had the chance to be the leader in a GT. |

Melhor no contra-relógio, na montanha são semelhantes, cada um à sua maneira. |

That's what I was trying to say. Given the chance, he can lead a team to Top 10 in the Tour. |

My main point actually is that Costa is not at his best when going for GC. Realistically if he fully focusses on the Tour, he can finish 6th or 7th in GC there. (I'm not even sure he can do that cause I never saw great revocery on him and his best mtf result going straight up against top GC riders was 12th.)
But if he focusses on stage wins he could get 2 stage wins. (He took them easily this year). So it's basically choosing between being Costa or Fuglsang in this years Tour. I'd take Costa's tour every time.

Your not the only one. I prefer stage wins in GT's + Leadership in Ardennes and in One week stage races. |

It's called hype. So unfortunately nobody will listen to your argument. |
