Well, at least you're leading the points classification. |

The 7th stage is the last flat stage before we reach the first mountain stages! The stage finish is a bit harder than the last one. Maybe the perfect stage for the man in yellow..Cancellara..? or Voeckler?
After the break was caught by the peloton the stage was really boring! The sprint began without any sprint trains and Cavendish was far behind while Cancellara was in a great position just like Fedrigo
Within the last kilometre, Cancellara was able to take the lead while Chavanel and Ivanov were behind him..Cavendish was on the 5th or 6th position at this point but his speed was amazing
In the end it was an easy stage win for Cancellara! Chavanel takes the second place in another close decision against.....of course the unlucky Mark Cavendish! Mark isn´t really lucky in the last stages..hehe. Cancellara is the new main rival for Cav in the sprint competition while Bennati takes only 2 points today

you should positionate your main sprinters and lead out mans on the front of the peloton so you can make a train and win it. if you notice, in every flat stages columbia leads the peloton in the last kilometers. you can't be waiting the game to be realistic if you don't make it realistic
PM-me for feedback on first user bar, please

You´re absolutely right but when your riders are not able to stay at the front because of their less power then you´re main sprinter has to go on his own. And when you take a look at other races our sprint trains worked brilliantly |

The 8th stage is the first one for the GC contenders! Here we´re going to see Contador, Andy Schleck, Denis Menchov and many more..hopefully Monfort, too
The first serious move came from Levi Leipheimer which was really surprising while there were still 25 kilometres to go. For this moment the favorites let him go
With only 5 kilometres left, Bradley Wiggins decided to start an attack on the final climb. Leipheimer was in front after he could pass the breakaway
A few moments later it was Moreau who went after Wiggins. But he wasn´t the only one because Contador, Andy Schleck, Michael Rogers, Maxime Monfort, Samuel Sanchez and Van den Broeck also made their moves
When they reached the last kilometre, Leipheimer was caught by Contador and Andy Schleck! Just a few second behind them was Monfort in a group of 7 together with Rogers, Sanchez, Van den Broeck, Vladimir Efimkin, Moreau and Wiggins
The sprint began in the first group and Leipheimer was still in front while Contador came really fast from behind but there were only a few metres to race
In an exciting and close sprint finish Contador is the lucky one in the end. He takes the stage in front of Leipheimer and maybe his biggest rival Andy Schleck..So the last question for today is...where is Monfort and how many seconds is he loosing to Contador?
There he is, winning the sprint of the chasing group in front of Wiggins and Moreau! He lost 17 seconds to Contador, Leipheimer and A. Schleck which is a great result. That means Monfort improved his overall position...he´s 5th now and Leipheimer takes yellow

This is the 1000th post!!!! 1000 posts!?...This is just incredible and really crazy for me as story writer!
At this point I would like to thank everybody who supported me with this story...that means everyone who´s reading it all the time..Thank you very much it means a lot to me
When I started with this "new" story I was really frustrated because of my crashed Katusha story.....so my goal was to get another story..but I´ve never thought about 50 pages and 1000 posts!
So thanks a lot to all of you...hope this story is still good enough for you..I really enjoyed your posts and your support and of course the whole work...so I hope you enjoyed that,too... |
