Stage win and overall for Horner, well deserved. Nice results for Radioshack too.

Lance has got his systems back up and running, if you know what I mean.

Deserved win after so much bad luck in 2009! A great win for RadioShack too...

Fuglsang's getting better too, only slightly worse than Wiggins in the TT.

Congrats Horner, what happened to Valverde in the TT , really wanted him to win, but he is looking good for the Ardennes classics and perharps TDF aswell. |

Hmm. Radioshack winner or Valverde winner. Which is the lesser of 2 evils? Horner I guess.
Good performance by Intxausti though

Yes - it messed up that I'm very pleased a Radioshack rider won. |

Ready for the shock of the day?
Peraud had his chain fell off on the first climb and had to put it back on, costing 15 seconds.
Then, in the 2nd part, he fell and had to change bikes. Yet, despite all that, he finished 9th at '33 seconds
You don't have to be good at math to figure out where Peraud would have been without all that bad luck. He would've won quite clearly. |

Hmm, it's good that Piti didn't win, but I can't express happiness after a RS win. I guess it's just ok. |

Roman - that information is very interesting, a real shame for Peraud. But him AND Inxausti for me are the real stories of this race. I hope Peraud does not become a bit of a Gadret.
We knew the rest before - Valverde is a very consistent stage racer, Rodriguez goes up short steep climbs very quickly indeed, Gesink goes up longer stuff nicely but without acceleration (and is prone to accidents), Horner could have done so much more with his talents, Schlecks only seem to care about Ardennes classics (+Le Tour) and Team Sky are not as good as they should be (mind you a top 3 ride by Flecha tomorrow will rescue this stage of the season).
Finally, as much as I find Chris Horners out of the saddle style ungainly, I feel a happy feeling for him winning this.
Even more finally where does this leave us for the ardennes classics? |

Ah Peraud and Intxausti, both repaying my fantasy faith. Nicely done lads. And good to see that Monfort has finally remembered where he placed his climbing legs. |
