CSC was gone almost the whole stage until they managed to come across in the final part of the day, meaning no additional time lost for Larsson and Chris Sørensen

Well, another stage gone by and Visconti still has those 7min on the first of the favourites...
I will be very surprised if he doesn't end in the top-20, considering that the 20th placed rider looses more or less 30min to the the winner... That means that Visconti will have to loose almost 40min in 9 stages to fall out of the top-20... Don't think that's going to happen...

People were saying the exact same thing about Pinotti last year, who is an equally good mountain climber and huge few levels above as a time triallist. Mark my words: Visconti won't have the jersey in Alpe di Pampeago.
Marked...

well, you got me there
He can still lose it saturday, but that would depend on how early the pace is lifted.
anyway, the pinotti comment was aimed at people saying he would be high up in the overall by the end of the giro |

I don't see that happening... He struggled today and will lose lots of time saturday, but not 7 minutes... Unless he has a really crappy day...

I didnt forget Menchov - he didnt crash. (Besides, I wasnt listing everyone anyway)
Ardila crashed, but it was a different crash since he was ahead of the group at the time you are wrong, he did crash, said so on belgian tv and he was chasing for quite some time |

Really? I apologise then.
I was watching an Italian stream with Eurosport commentary and they didnt mention Menchov going down at all or him amongst the chasers to get back.

yea ardila crashed when he was in the lead. but when menchov crashed , ardilla stopped to help menchov persue the ' peloton'.
the belgian tv said clearly that menchov crashed and you could see on tv when menchov rejoined contador & co

Too bad Soler had to abandon. It took a lot of effort to stay in this long.

laughing at Harmon, they got Sean Yates on the phone and it went something like this
'Hello Sean can you hear me'
'yeah i can hear you'
'Can you hear me'
'Yeah'
'Well we can't and i guess you can't hear him so we'll ditch that'
Thing was we could hear him!

that was very close, well done Bennati and Cav just for looking not quite there and putting on so much power making it exceptionally close.

I thought Cav got it, that Fernandez is getting worryingly close to making Euskatel actually win a sprint stage |

I think cav won, he threw for the line so hard.

one word: CLOSE
Cav had an incredible speed, but the finish was 20 cm too near. |

I fucking hate Bennati. One of the most sneaky sonaofabitches of the peloton. You just need to look at ONE of his replays to see he always tries to close or put a shoulder to screw the other guy and always gets away with it, every time. |
