Still a long way to Brescia. Nibali found himself isolated quite early today, and that could be dangerous for him in the remaining stages.

it was a great win by uran if he gets made the sky leader hes got a good chance of winning the giro
You don't mean this season, right? Making up 2 minutes to Nibali will be close to impossible. |

Can't see Uran winning the Giro at all. Maybe in 2 years(maybe next year if everything turns out right) or something, but not this edition!

Sky Tactics get blown out.I think they wanted uran to have a bigger margin may be about a min or so(cause of the time bonuses) now he will be seen as Sky Leader n wouldn't be allowed to go again.Froome can relaxed. He is certainly sky's TDF leader.

3 horse race between Uran, Nibbles and Cuddles, although Nibali looks pretty unbeatable atm. |

Problem for Evans is his team is very bad. After 1st climb I did not see any BMC rider other than Evans himself. |

On last climb his team almost blew it after Uran attacked. Nobody was with Nibali, Luckily Angoli was hanging at the back.
Maybe they can ask help from some Italian team, like Contador got for some of his tour wins from Spanish teams. Atleast early in stage.

What the hell ?
I am also impressed by Diego Rosa, he's climbing very good for his debut Giro. Bright future for him.

Nibali almost deserves to win the Giro alone on dropped my chain, have a fiddle, attack and almost blow everyone away Very impressive stuff from him, again rock solid.
Great to see Evans climbing well again.
Good to see Uran given some freedom and taking the win - would've made no difference at 20% if he sat in front of Wiggo or not anyway.

On this subject, do you think Wiggins over reliance on his team full of stars is a reason for his downfall today. Uran makes a move, and isolates his own team leader, and Wiggins is powerless to defend against movements of other GC contenders. |

It was 20% max elevation, not his strength and very limited benefit from drafting. If it had gone according to plan he would've been happy to limit losses to say under 30 seconds and still have a healthy GC lead. Not the scenario now though and good to see a train deployed to launch Uran today.
Hard to see past Nibali now but a long way to go and can Evans keep on surprising? I hope so.

Katusha is really delivering with this squad. Trofimov on 14th is quite a big surprise for me too.
Although he did target top 10 before the race and has been going well, didn't think he'd actually deliver.
