Obviously I didn't see the sprint, but I'm still surprised that an averagely fast sprinter like Chicchi (no offence) managed to beat Kittel in a sprint... |

Kittel twittered afterwards that Omega Pharma had a great tactic to beat him.
They send one rider to the front with a small "attack" and Kittel had to start his sprint with 350m.
When he lost some of his speed Chicci was able to oversprint him. |

Is it still so that Chichi doesn't survive a speed-bump?
Otherwise his shape for the season won't really matter, because there arent many pancake-flat stages.

To be honest I think Chicchi got enough of wins this season to satisfy him ( comapred to 2011 ) He got 5 wins and already improved his CQ ranking from last year. Next stage this month he could pick up wins in KBC-Driedaagse De Panne -Koksijde and next month in pancake flat Scheldeprijs, Grand Prix Pino Cerami and if he goes then in Tour of Turkey which has lots of flat stages as well. He will definitely have chances to even better this result, quite impressive so far, as the rest of OPQS in those smaller races.
Okay I am done

I've put $5 down on Sagan at 6:1 odds and $5 on Goss at 19:1. I think Sagan will win it, but those are some good odds for someone like Goss.

I have a feeling that there will be anu upset, some kind of late break will succeed, maybe the likes of Cunego or Gerrans, or another Puncheur like that.

Nice to see Stake Laengen in the breakaway, hopefully they can last a while, and get some TV-time.
This should be an epic classic, just like last year. Hopefully we'll see some aggressive racing, and I've got a feeling Nibali will win it, from an attack on the descent of Cipressa or Poggio.

Technically, we don't call those "major classics" but "monuments". |

Good ride for Eibegger. I hope sometime soon he gets back into a bigger continental or WT team.
