A huge thank you for that. Means a lot to hear such things!
Project squad:
Once again, our hope stands to mainly two riders. This time it's a quite fit Coppel who's aiming for the overall, while Bozic will look for something in the sprints. Boom and Bagdonas might be able to surprise as well.
Top favourite is of course Denis Menchov, together with his equally strong team mate Przemyslaw Niemiec. Main threat to them will be Androni's Marco Marzano, but I'm also warning for Fabio Duarte.
Tour of Oman - Stage 1
The race of the desert begins with, surprise, surprise, a flat stage. A mass sprint is highly likely, with the main favourites being Galimzyanov, Modolo and Rojas.
Rojas profited from his team mates' perfect leadout in the best possible way, by bursting clear of the rest, taking an easy victory. Modolo crossed the line as clear second, with Bozic grabbing the last bonus seconds in a photo finish against Förster.

Tour of Oman - Stage 2
Unsurprisingly, day two is another piece of flat ground. Another opportunity for the sprinters, with the favourites being the same as yesterday.
After finishing second yesterday, Modolo proved his strength once again by edging out Bozic for the victory at the line. The latter once again with the margins on his side, beating the young rider's jersey of Andrea Guardini by a centimeter or two.

Tour of Oman - Stage 3
Last chance for the sprinters in a little while, with two decisive general classification stages lying ahead in the next days. Rojas and Modolo has so far been the strongest, so they'll go as favourites once again.
Back to back wins for Modolo, who by this extended his overall lead even more after gunning out Guardini and Matthew Goss in the finale. Bozic unfortunately got blocked at a crucial moment and therefore had to use to much energy to be able to fight back to the top positions. Bad luck for us, as he had a strong daily form.

Tour of Oman - Stage 4
Featuring for the second consecutive year here in Oman is the hard mountain top finish on Jabal al Akhdar. It's of course the main factor when deciding the overall, as it gives the climbers a chance to bounce back into contention.
After the crazy stage on this climb last year, with Hushovd finishing second, the madness hit another level this year. Rojas first attacked in the early kilometres of the climb and when he then got company from Coppel and Christophe Riblon, he jumped again and left the other two in the dust. Incredibly surprising winner, but at least a strong third place for us.

Tour of Oman - Stage 5
The second of the two crucial stages is the time trial in Al Jissah. Unlike a normal time trial it favours the climbers over the pure timetriallists however. Seeing Rojas won a mountain top finish, I guess a TT win is far from impossible.
Race leader Rojas did surprisingly well, but at least he didn't battle for the top places. Instead it was Jack Bobridge who more or less saved GreenEDGE's race after Goss' many disappointing results. Coppel as fourth today didn't gain enough on Riblon for us to move up to second place overall.

Tour of Oman - Stage 6
Last day in the desert, riding from the start in Qurayyat to finish on a circuit in Mattrah Seafront. With the overall already more or less sealed, it's up to the sprinters to provide some last action. Anybody willing to bet on Rojas?
It wouldn't have given much money in return betting on him anyway. Rojas easily took it in the slightly uphill mass sprint, keeping Denis Galimzyanov and Goss behind him after hitting the front early. Bozic tried to fight back, but had to settle for fourth place.
Yeah. Sure...
That`s real PCM stuff.
All about form that early in the season. Crazy results. At least Coppel delivered a podium spot and Bozic some nice stage results.
Thanks guys! And a special thank you to valverde for the dedicated post number! Just because of all the nice comments, you get an extra report!
Project squad:
Remember last year's triple here? Well, to say the least, we don't expect to repeat that. However, we are confident that Boom has the capacity of delivering a decent result even though his shape isn't on top right now.
Lots of big names starting their season here. Tom Boonen has to be named as the main favourite because of the flat finish, with Thor Hushovd being his main rival. Also Fabian Cancellara, Björn Leukemans and a reborn Leif Hoste deserves a mention.
Omloop Het Nieuwsblaad - Report
One of the easier cobbled classics. Not a lot of paved sections on the route, and those present features a long way out from the finish line. Therefore a mass sprint from a reduced peloton is the most likely scenario.
One attack spoiled the party for the sprinters. Dimitri Muravyev's move just as we entered the final five kilometres seemed not to mind the bigger names, who all made a big mistake letting the Ukrainian go. Sep Vanmarcke and Leif Hoste completed the day's podium, while Boom got blocked in the finale and missed a split, thus finishing 17th.

Project squad:
Remember last year's quadruple here? Well, to say the least, we don't expect to repeat that. As you might have noticed, it's more or less the same here. The squad too. Boom still the leader, but with Bozic joining the squad to boost our chances in an eventual mass sprint finish.
Startlist and favourites:
Spoiler
Unfortunately I forgot to export the startlist.
A 6th place in Het Nieuwsblaad after launching from far behind proved that Tom Boonen is fit enough to once again be mentioned as main favourite. This time however, his main competition will come from pure sprinters rather than cobbled specialists. José Joaquin Rojas and Koldo Fernández have both been in great shape lately, so I'll flag for them.
Kuurne-Bruxelles-Kuurne - Report
As I've already mentioned, even though this is a cobbled classic, it's more favourable to sprinters than the cobbled specialists themselves. That's because of the small amount of pavé, and mainly the long, uncobbled flat run-in towards the finish.
Much better outcome for us here than yesterday. Unfortunately neither Boom or Bozic could respond when Jurgen Roelandts jumped into the lead, and not when Tom Boonen tried to close his countryman down. However, a third and a fourth place is far better than expected.
Jakob Fuglsang starts his season by taking the leader's role here. Together with Sergey Lagutin he'll be trying something on stage two, and then try to limit his losses in stage three's time trial. Also Kluge might score us some points, but with all the squad in weak shape, it's mostly up to luck.
Biggest name taking part here is obviously ex-doper Alejandro Valverde, who starts his first race of the season after making his comeback with the Garmin squad. Apart from him, the only other real big name participating here is another Spaniard, Igor Anton. I'd say it's between them.
Vuelta a la Región de Murcia - Stage 1
The three-day event kicks off with the easiest of the three parts. Some smaller climbs on the route to the finish on this relatively flat day of racing. However, the small hills and the descent leading down to the finish favours a late punchy attack from an Ardennes specialist. Valverde already?
With Lagutin making his season debut, I want to use the moment to thank Sykkel_Freak for his awesome new Uzbekian champion's jersey. Everyone on the team really likes it.
Just as I suspected, a late move succeeded. Euskaltel's Xavier Florencio was the one who made reality out of the clever tactic, allowing him to solo down the final descent to a stage win on home ground. Arnaud Coyot from the early breakaway held on to second, with Robert Förster nipping the sprint for third.

Vuelta a la Región de Murcia - Stage 2
The queen stage of the race is day number two, featuring the hard Alto de Bermejo, which is separated from the finish line by just a short descent. The race is expected to be decided up the slopes of the Bermejo, with the pre-race favourites trying to shake off race leader Florencio.
Being by far the biggest pre-race favourite apparently didn't prevent Alejandro Valverde from making his return on the very top. The Spaniard cracked everyone on the final ascent, and then fended off Florencio, early day escapee Iñigo Cuesta and Fuglsang in the descent.

Vuelta a la Región de Murcia - Stage 3
To seal up the overall completely, the race organizers has put a shortish time trial as the third and last day of racing. The twelve kilometres might not create huge gaps, but it's surely enough for Valverde to try to claw back the 23 seconds he needs on Florencio.
The returning show continued today, with Valverde showing his strength once again by winning the TT. Florencio fought hard to defend his jersey, but ended up losing it by just six seconds. Fuglsang's bad form reduced his capacity today, unfortunately forcing him to drop from third to fourth overall.

4th again. Does Jakob still ride for the U25-GC, or not? I forgot it.
He's born in March '85, so I think not.
I agree with the others, nice result for a season beginning. And I really like the reports. Will they all be that short (don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind) or will you report the bigger races in more detail?

Very good result. A pitty that Sabido ended on 3 before Fuglsang with just 1 second difference.
Definitely was a bit frustrating. But thanks!

As Cunego said.

Fuglsang did another good result for the team. All looking great. Paris Nice should be great
I'm looking forward to that too! Should be up tomorrow.

Thanks a lot.
And thanks for asking that question! I was just waiting for someone to do that, so that I could tell you about my plans.
What I have planned is to more or less all races like this. The exception will be the Giro and the Vuelta, plus probably also the World Championships.

What about Le Tour?
Anyway, solid race from Fuglsang. Another top-5 from the team, becoming a bigger fan of Project 1t4i.
