So don't expect too much. Last time there was a group of 7 contenders finishing behind a breakaway (Jose Maria Jimenez) and that was after a much harder stage... (more mountains)
Every Andorra finish is quite easy and flat. This one even more so.
That's why I'm amazed that Mosquera was saying there are going to be big gaps.

Perhaps he's going to attack all the way from the start of the climb |

Maybe not the best stage to attack for Purito, but i think he should (attack), because i think that he will run out of gas in 3rd week and should gain as much time as he can now. |

Surely attacking when he perhaps doesnt need to is exactly why he would run out of gas?

Maybe i didnt pick the right words, but i mean that in 3rd week he wont have so good form and wont be able to gain some time on Nibali or Anton either. |

Perhaps there will be gaps, just because of the exhaustion among the top contenders? I have never seen the best in a GT look so tired this early. Could be that i'm blind, but you never know.. |

I think Nibali will win the Vuelta this year, time to show he is the talent everyone has made him out to be and win a GT, he needs too.

He will blow on a mountain stage sooner or later, but it would be nice if he did well |

Nah, he'll go the other way and suck instead.
Seriously, though, I've got nothing against Nibali, but my hopes are still for Fränk. |

name one tour under 1,5 year where he was completly blown? You just don't need believe ruben 100%. Like Nibali is short hill specialist. For me he is slow burner..more like Basso type climber. Advice for him..he don't need to follow (rush) after every Purito-Anton atack.
(what I just sayed..this is hugh I told you so threat for me)

No matter how we twist it it's still a tough finish. And so far in this Vuelta nearly everyone has shown they're willing to attack. IMO it's become a question of attitude between the riders more than the profile of the stage. I really like it! In the tour, you can look at the profiles and pinpoint the stages that decide the race. Of course you can do this with the Vuelta, but it's just not as certain as the tour. When the raceplan is not set in stone, exciting stuff tends to happen =) |

I agree with that it will suit him better if it is a steady pace, but when Anton and Rodriguez attacks he isn't the type to just continue sitting there trying to catch them. He will try to follow and that will most likely mean that he sooner or later blows. |

Exactly, remember the stages where Gilbert and Anton won? Nibali was always there to counter the attack. Noone could follow Gilbert, but in the Anton stage, he could keep up with Anton and Rodriguez. That's promising |

2 guys in the breakaway, one of them is Tschoop(BBox), the second one is from FDJ - can't remember his name right now..
Rabobank is riding in the peleton.
24,7 km left and the break got 4:43 down to the Peleton.
