Well done by Ritchie Porte. He is in 7th or 8th GC now as it seems... Extremely confident ride from him. I never knew he could climb that well...

Considering that nobody knew him before the Tour de Romandie

Porte not that far behind the favourites, nice by the youngster.
Porte is realy interesting rider..
ambulance arrived..something wrong?
Edit: I think not..this is just cool a ride with sirens in Italy
He will have a though time defending his white jersey though
Losing 30 seconds to Mollema on an easy climb. With much more to come in the final 2 weeks. And there's Kiservloski too, he was very impressive as well
It's not over. Far from! |

Heheh. Yeah I was also surprised when I read: victory for CAS. I thought Valverde was going to be banned. |

and it was "easy" day for leaders after all..
I think flat stages will be the most important for the GC
We still have Zoncolan and Kronplatz to decide the GC.
Do you know those easy little climbs named Mortirolo and mmh...(hard to remember) ... Gavia ?

It was clear before the stage that GC won't change dramaticaly, but i'm happy for Gadret that at last he shows talent he has. |

I've just noticed that seven riders scored negative points on todays stage, they all got -5. One of them, Andriy Grivko also scored -5 on stage 6.
These weren't the last 7 to finish, so how did they 'earn' negative points? |

Penalties for bad riding. Holding on to cars, swearing at commissaires, pee-ing in (too) public places, over-the-top littering, etc.

Astana is the by far on the last place in the "premio fair play"
i already wondered if thats something to do with the anti-vino hype, so they can say after the giro how bad astana is. Also the Sky boys seem to be bad boys. |

Thanks.
Weird punishment though, would mean a lot more to a sprinter than to anyone else. |

heh, what classification next. Gotta love the giro and it's many classifications.
