In fact, I didn't thought Menchov can win (I didn't thought he can even finish it) . My favourite were Sastre and Evans, I'm completely disapointed. Menchov won the Vuelta in 2005, so it's not exactly a suprise he wins now |

I know he win it, butthis year he showed he is in very bad shape: He didn't finish Tdf and Critérium. And also last year he didn't showed too much on Vuelta and later abandoned.
For me It was suprise |

Well, rule nr. 1: Sastre will never win anything. |

He only didnt finish the Tour because he had no motivation once Rasmussen was kicked out.

heh...be my guest...at least you'll prove my other point to CrueTrue the other day that Sastre isn't at his Tour level
EDIT: also, out of sheer curiosity, where do you get those figures?
you mean the lucky few that are ever listening to what I say?

Erm, Menchov wasn't really at his best in the last Tour de France after all. His most remarkable performance was down the Plateau de Beille, during the first 5 km, but after that he stopped his effort, thus he didn't do a good time there. ops:
https://www.cyclismag.com/article.php?...621#ancre1 (+ other cyclismag articles)
During the current Vuelta :
Menchov : close to his best (Vuelta (Arcalis, Cerler) 2005 and TDF (Alpe d'Huez) 2006)
Sastre : slightly under his best level (Tour de France 2006)
Evans : slightly under his best level (Tour de France 2007)

Unfortunately it's all in French language, but it's always a nice reading (as long as you understand the lingo), they're not supporting X or Y, and are not blind about doping and suspicious performances either. |

Bennati needs at least a second place to get the points jersey
Sánchez needs at least an eighth.
otherwise, Menchov gets it.

And it seems like CSC now has secured the Pro Tour overall team win for 3rd year in row. |
