I do the same with the Sky Hate/Doping thread when that inevitably pops up every two-three months

Yeah i was joking, but i think this one was more about actual outcome for this years Giro, rather than general talk. Anyway new stage today and majority will forget that (at least i hope they do and we will not see evans hate posts day by day).

I'd heard rumours of that, but I don't really see how a rider like Rodriguez could've hoped to do well in the Giro carrying this kind of injury anyway. I know riders don't like to pull out of big events but there's a time when common sense should come in. |

Yes, if true. I never really see the point in hiding it anyway given you either have the condition or not - you can't bluff your way through 3 weeks (perhaps hoping for improvement and nothing too testing in the first week I guess). Mind you it might have been inaccurately reported or badly translated too it could have been "just" bruised ribs or some such. Either way sorry to see him out.

Some wounds to the skin(is that a legit translation btw?). Doesn't seem to make a huge difference to me. Wasn't there something with Majka as well, btw? Ill or so?

Shorts. That list is rather extensive. First Mountain stages will be good for the uninjured to attack on.

Hope that Meyer will be 100% before the mountains, and GreenEdge/Evans can hold Pink for as long as possible.

So many crashes I understand that it's part of the sport, but the Giro organizers really need to think about their routes. |

Well, there goes my chances of a solid winner. Scarponi wins here if the injured are truly injured.

It's Giro. By far the most interesting race in WT calendar, in my opinion. And this is why it is one of most interesting races. I feel sorry for these guys, but you're unlucky sometimes. It's not about the roads, neither about the routes or anything similar to that. It's about the rain and the lack of concentration from some of the guys. Definitely not something the organisers can change.

I wonder if sometimes talked use of the painkillers has something to do with this, i think we were discussing it recently again?

You're right LLS, I tried compress it in size a bit by taking out the gaps.
Jesley: I translated "schaafwonden" to "wounds to the skin" and "schrammen" to "minor damage to skin".

Wounds to the skin just sounds worse than it does in Dutch, I think
