Right, I've rechecked the startlist. Van Avermaet was entered correctly on the planner and there was no mistake on BMC's end. Since there is a huge difference between the excellent cobbler Van Avermaet and the one hit wonder stage racer Van Garderen, the UCI feels the presence of Van Avermaet would've altered the race dramaticaly. He even would have had a decent shot at winning. Since the mistake was made in a player's team, the UCI decides that the race will have to be redone.
So I'm sorry for the people who had a good result and Atlantius who has double work, but the race has to be redone.
You watch Van Avermaet crash out on the first cobbles.
I appreciate the re-run. Thanks Atlantius and Ollfardh.
And the lesson here is simple. Always double check every team before you start the race. Might take 2-3 minutes but it's better than having to do the race again and another report.

Domagalski makes sure to show the Caja Rural jersey early on. We probably won’t see much of them after the cobbles anyway.
In the end 14 riders have a two-minute gap when hitting the first cobbles.
They are: Domagalski (CJR), Sprick (ARG), Miletta & Pozzo (VIN), Laborie (SOJ), Valentin (COF), Millar (GAR), Lamoisson (EUC), Devillers & Premont (CRE), Cerny (CCC), Verraes (ACC), Cusin (IAM) and Bol (BEL).
The speed is low enough to allow Stamsnijder to join them from the peloton 15 km later.
With 115 km to go the break has pretty much been reeled in and Phinney, Boasson Hagen and Lixandru gives it a go.
They are joined later by Turgot, Gatto and Cusin.
The favourites teams all take part in the chase but with 90 km to go the break has 6’37’’
60 km and 4’43’’. Cusin has lost contact with the five others.
50 km and 4’01’’
Stybar is leading the chasing group, which is down to 20 riders. Noteable names missing out are Krizan, Khampan, Nuyens, Boom, Roelandts, Sagan, Sithembele and Ballan. All of them are in a group just over a minute further behind.
40 km to go. The break still has a strong advantage, while the favourites are split even more behind.
Let’s sum up before taking a small break:
32 km to go and the five in front has 2’13’’ to the main favourite chasers, who has 1’45’’ to the other favourites.
With 26 km to go Boom starts the attacking from group three. They have 1’33’’ to E2 and a further 1’32’’ to the front. He is joined by Khampan, Van Avermaet and Sithembele.
They quickly bridge the gap and with 20 km to go the front group has 1’24’’ to the 17 chasers.
And then McDermott attacks!
With 16 km to go he has joined the front group with Sithembele on his wheel.
Only to see the chasers rejoin them 3 km later.
With 10 km left it’s Cancellara’s turn to attack.
He knows he can’t win a sprint in this group.
With 4,4 km left he is reeled back in. Largely thanks to a great effort by Boom.
23 riders remain in the front group with Sagan hanging alone just over a minute behind.
Cancellara opens the sprint with 3 km to go.
2 km left.
McDermott is first into the final km.
600 m to the line and Boonen shows his power.
The Belgian champion gives the home fans what they came for!
The podium is completed by Khampan and McDermott.
The rest of the top 20 is too close to call on the line.

A bunch of riders didn't finish, but I forgot to write them down manually. If your rider is not above, but was on the startlist (I have re-checked it) he abandoned for one reason or another.
Taylor Phinney. This man is something else. I beat Cancellara
Also, Van Avermaet was in the group after all but a disappointing sprint there. Gilbert much better as well. Infact, let's be honest, that race was a hell of a lot better for us. Except Hushovd, who is realistically shite it would seem.

This race was small fry for Fabian. You will do well to say the same after Milan San Remo/ Flanders.
After a long commercial break we are back in action.
During the break Bos(Bel) made pace increase in the peleton and catched E3. This causes 42 riders to drop. No favourites are belong them as the most interesting rider is Kocjan(EUS).
78km: Nobody wants to work in the peleton. Only IAM seems to be slightly interesting in working. Thus, they are already 2'15'' behind the leading group and 1'45'' to the likes of Greipel and Boasson Hagen.
76km: The two groups at the front merged into one big group. Time to look at who is in there:
74km: We just passed the last climb. Rast, Greipel, Tjallingii, Amorison and Stamsnijder stuggle a bit and there is a gap.
72km: Rast, Greipel, Tjallingii, Amorison rejoined during the descent. Stamsnijder is still 38'' behind.
69km: Finally, the pack has organized the chase. Thurau, Di Silvestro (both Euc), Saramotins and Goddaert (both IAM) are leading the pack which is 2'40'' behind the leading group. The pace is so high that only 58 cyclists could remain in the group. Even guys like Strömberg(GRS) who was named as a favourite can not stay in there.
50km: Europcar is the only remaining team to work in the peleton. The gap increased to 4'05''. Many riders like Strömberg or Hayman (had a puncture) are back in the peleton.
40km: The sixteen riders at the front have now 4'30'' to the pack and 3'22'' to Stamsnijder. This will be difficult for every one who is not in there.
32km: Stybar(OPQ) wants to bridge the gap. Some km later he is joined by Khamphan(EUC) and Flecha(VDC).
20km: The trio has still 2'55'' to the front and give up
17km: Rast attacks. Lemoine, Amorison and Malacarne follow.
15km: The 4 are brought back. They could not work together.
Last 5 km
3500m: John Degenkolb attacks. Zingle is sitting in his wheel.
2400m: Nizzolo tries to bridge the gap. Greipel just behind him.
1800m: Greipel launches his sprint. It seems to be between the two Germans.
1100m: Greipel is faster than Degenkolb. Can he hold his pace?
Finish
Yes. He does. Degenkolb gets only third after Boasson Hagen came fast on the last 500m.
