Oh yeah, the USA. The only industrialised democratic country I can think of whose population would rather die because they can't pay a standard medical procedure than add a small expense to their yearly bill.
If you require coffee to stay alive, my condolences.

Wait, right, that's the same country where young-earth creationists can demand having their ridiculous world view being teached equally in school...

cio, stop being illogical. People who think like that are 100% right in that they should not have free health care.

Because public health care makes people more likely to survive, and nobody who is against something as logical as public health care should be given the chance of surviving.

They should be allowed to become extinct.....or, as they call it "god getting bored with them"

It's logical for most Americans to not want public healthcare though. The majority of Americans are upper or middle class (as with most modern countries), therefore, it is cheaper for them to get their own healthcare, rather than also carry the needs of the poor too.

Why should they care such a decision is indirectly leading to the death of hundreds of people? I think if you gave the choice to most people (not just Americans) between a bit of extra money, and a bit more moral security, they'd choose the money.

This is a debate for 'Difficult Topics' anyway I think, and certainly not 'funny'

Avin Wargunnson
I think that it is funny indeed. Country that brings democracy all over the world (even where it is unwanted and stupid) does have society and health care built on competition bases.
I'll be back

The Hobbit
It's not funny because 45,000 people a year die because of it.
I think that says enough...

Still only 16% of the population.

It's so ignorant it's borderline funny.

Besides, you're living in the wrong country to overly mourn the death of thousands of innocent people that could be saved with different politics.

People who live above the poverty line aren't necessarily anywhere close to rich.

Americans labelling Europe and Brits labelling America

An effort to move things back to funny things.
The hilarity is somewhat lost by the fact all of these people are joking (surely, please, please be joking). Or at least the first set, some of the Americans appear to be making a (terrible) effort.

I don't get how bad they are. I could label every country in Europe easily. America is harder though, I am probably the worst person I know at naming states, but I could still pinpoint at least 15.

15 is awesome. Holland & The Netherlands are different countries, and none of them is correct. Grin

Edit: Not to mention Amsterdam & Netherlands being different.
