Again, not fully updated yet, since it doesn't give a ton of abandons either.

And it also says "provisional," so there will surely be more riders added to the list.

Seeing Cunego at the beginning at the climb, and then at the finish, he probably would've been able to stay with Valverde and Evans if the possibility of a win was there. Great stage, anyway.

From what i saw he popped Grin
And just let the wheel go...
But i'd prefer your analysis Grin

Pretty sure Cunego just couldn't today. Which is normal with his inconsistency in Grand Tours, has been like that for years.

Btw, Taaramae thought the last climb was only 4%, which is why he attacked so early and why he didn't have a small gear left

also this young man was without a radio..Smile
anyway he was realy dissapointed..lack of experience..

He thought the Xorret de Catí was 4%?

Did he also think the Mortirolo was 2%?

I very suddenly have no respect for him. How can you be a rider and not know basic things about your sport, and more importantly, how can you ride a stage not knowing the course?

That's absolutely pathetic.

Yeah, but I still think he isnt the only one to blame. When being in the break, even without a radio, you DS should come to talk to you about the plan... He should've surely said what was yet to come...

«I felt all day super well. Before the start I checked stage profile..Last climb xorret de Cati last km's profile was ..
1km 19%..then 13% and last km 4%..I Calculated that there is place to atack..when we hit 19%..I can keep going 2km. ..but last km was not 4% has map showed ,it was 20% wall.
If I would knew that I would have atacked..2-1,5 km. before the summit.

There's several videos showing that Gesink kept his line, yes.

An interview with Gesink is up now. What he says about the incident with Evans is that he joined the groupe at 500m, and directly wanted to get in the lead. He did so, and started the sprint from leading position next to the boarding. Valverde goes on the outside, but as Evans wants to take the inside, the boarding comes in a little, leaving no more room for him. It's not something I can do anything about, and in the end I want a good result as well.
Further, about the 'headbutt'; 'He was quite agressive. He's probably a bad loser, but I'm not wasting any energy on that.'

Notice that I said "if that's true". It wasn't true. What Ruben said was that Taaramae thought the climb was 4%. Not just the final km. No worries, just false assumptions Smile

Here's a question: Is Schleck riding for the GC now that Fuglsang has imploded?

I guess we'll find out friday. Next weekend will decide almost everything. can't wait Smile
