Chris Horner says on his blog: Our only problem came when Lance suffered a mechanical going into the finish, but two of our teammates were there to look after him, they were able to limit the time losses to the line to only 15 seconds.

Do you know for sure that he didn't have one? He also admitted that he couldn't hang on.

The cameras were showing him when he got dropped. He couldn't hold the pace of the group of 30. That's all.
This is typical Lance. Has someone come up with an excuse.
And it's conveniently ambiguous, too
If something had actually happened, they'd never be so ambiguous.

Eddie Hagen got droped around the ultimo kilomtro, I think. Then you can say he is almost better than Lance Eddie did a job in the pack today, and dropped "hard", did not fight to increase the timeloss. Lance had to helpers when he droped 200 m afterwords, after a day in the middle of the peloton.

EBH was dropped a long time before 1 km, perhaps with 3-4 km to go. |

Yeaah..right. There is several mechanical stages to ride..first ..light test starting tomorrow.
And tomorrow is a day when I can follow the stage..or should be back by then...great.

Aparantly Hunter didn't fall today, it was Froome and robbie was just giving him his wheel
and Lance doesn't seem to be claiming it was a mechanical
Stage 4 done. Uphill finish. Legs weren't bad and made it almost the whole way. Came off a little at the top. Not bad for 1st big climb in..

oh come on Armstrong will not be the same rider again. Look at his face he looks really really old, a tired man face.

Just to clarify, Edvald himself said that he could have stayed with the front group to the finish, and I believe him cause he looked very comfortable with 3-4kms to go.
But it was probably a smart decision to ease off, as he has quite a few tough days ahead of him, and it's his first grand tour. |

he could be there with the big guys but not having the power to let someone behind like he did in his time. I think he will try to win on Mount Ventoux as I remember him saying that's the only place where he wanted to win but never did.
