Must say, I think TT1 is certainly missing consistency. They have periods of absolute brilliance and then fade away into nothing. Of course, starting fields matter here! |

Ian Butler - You have hit the nail right on the head, CONSISTENCY, is something the team haven't been able to grasp yet |

AMGEN TOUR OF CALIFORNIA
Stage 1 – Santa Rosa – 186.3km
SPRINT - Mumford/Team Optum
With a lead of 7m 21s our breakaways have found themselves in a very comfortable position, Mooney/Jamis Sutter Home, Jones/Bissell Pro Cycling and Mumford/Team Optum are working well together to maintain this advantage
The peleton is beginning to spread out as Radioshack Nissan set the pace on the front
The lead has come down to 5m 49s
The lead is exactly five minutes as our leaders start the climb of Fort Ross Rd
MOUNTAIN - Mooney/Jamis Sutter Home
Radioshack are still setting a wicked pace on the front
MOUNTAIN - Mumford/Team Optum
The trio are still working very well together
SPRINT - Mumford/Team Optum
The riders have just been informed that the lead is now under three minutes
MOUNTAIN - Mumford/Team Optum
Busche/Radioshack Nissan is riding himself in to the ground to try and get the breakaway back on level terms
Mumford/Team Optum has ridden clear of his fellow escapees, he must still be feeling pretty good inside
All he has left is 23s
Inside five kilometres and we have three separate sprint trains trying to stamp there authority on the front of the race from left to right we have Chipotle, Radioshack and ourselves
Heinrich Haussler takes the final corner in a perfect position
But he doesn't have enough energy left in the tank as Tony Gallopin of Radioshack Nissan passes him with ease and finishes off a Great day for his team

MOUNTAIN - Grajales/Competitive Cyclist
Radioshack have powered up the climb and are now chasing the three leaders down to the finish

Murilo Fischer - Garmin - Sharp
Serghei Tvetcov - Team Exergy
Lawson Craddock Bontrager - Livestrong Team
Garmin - Sharp
Bit of a mixed bag for us today with half the team finishing in the main pack and the other half having a day to forget.
But we do have Vegard and George looking impressive on the GC |

Great to see TT1 in the big races, but not really in the action, just yet!!
That CAN'T be the GC for the end of stage 2, btw.
As Deignan hasn't done anything..

Quiet day once again
But 11th and 12th on the GC, well, that's just in reach of the top 10! |
