The policemen shot a guy who threatened them with machetes but the problem is that its said they shot him 15 times (not sure if the last is true).

Government screws over people because they're afraid to lose money.
Japanese government officials were more concerned about the economic implications of a massive evacuation and the costs of compensating victims after the Fukushima nuclear disaster than they were about residents’ safety, according to a new exposé by the Asahi Shimbun.

Why doesn't this surprise me Economics always come first. An abstract thing that's more important than us, people.

Exams French in NL leaked out, now has to be made next thursday. Everybody involved furious. I dont see why you would post the exams online. Worst of all is: it turned out to be a relatively easy exam. Bad luck I should say

At some school in Rotterdam, no less than 15 exams have been stolen. One exam (French) had been posted online and everyone who had this level in the entire country had to do it a day later. Other 14 just at the school where it was stolen. 3 people arrested. Still dont get how the f*ck thats possible

Wrong, 24 exams. Luckily, the government decided that all exams (except for the school on which they were stolen) are valid.

It seems that quite a few pupils from other schools in Rotterdam have bought the exams from the thieves, so the case isn't over yet

Russia is taking gigantic steps backwards in an effort to regain the "real Russia". Hasn't it been proven that isolation-politics doesn't work? I can't think of a single example where alienating yourself from the rest of the (Western) world has proven benefical.
Even though this might not be a political move with the intent of isolationism, I hope it helps to spur it on.

And what's the worst,is that current Serbian government is trying to follow (or better said copy) them. What's even worser is that about 30% of population is believing them.
I never liked gays or something, from personal reasons, but i can't see any reason that they shouldn't have same rights as me or anyone.
But,as you can see, this site is from USA, and they're trying to make everything bigger than it is,to make Russian or any eastern countries law's to look more brutal. Tbh, i have no much love to American goverment, didn't ever had it,but at the end, i am only kid.

Russia is heading back to an oligarchy at full speed. A shitload of resources, a highly agressive and corrupt elite, not afraid of using nationalism, as you mention, and religion, as distraction tools. I read that the Orthodox Church is rising in popularity, and the government has greatly improved relations with it. They need all the help they can get. |

I only chose the most renowned english speaking site I could find in 30 seconds.
I initially read some German articles, and they include even more bad stuff like children physically attacking peaceful activists in Moscow, with the Police encouraging them. Or a female activist pointing out a man that attacked her at earlier protests, who subsequently attacked her, and the police then arresting the woman.
