Giro del Trentino - 4th stage
1. Roman Kreuziger
2. Emanuele Sella
3. Yaroslav Popovych +8s
GC
1. Michele Scarponi
2. Tiago Machado +7s
3. Luca Ascani +33s
These are the results so far. Machado is in great shape, but I think it's still to early... |

Kreuziger! Great victory for him. Hopefully it will give him some confidence heading into the giro. |

Roman!
It looks great for the Giro so far, good confidence and not the superb form in this moment.

Guardini took the opening stage of Presidential Tour of Turkey. It was an impressive sprint from Guardini, he was one class above the rest, the acceleration reminded me of Cavendish on Champs Elysses. That's a great sprinter, a great talent.
EDIT:
1. GUARDINI Andrea FAR
2. FARRAR Tyler GRM
3. VAN HUMMEL Kenny SKS
4. BELLETTI Manuel COG
5. FERRARI Roberto AND
6. VAN DIJK Stefan VWA
7. BOUHANNI Nacer FDJ
8. PETACCHI Alessandro LAM

Guardini wins the first stage of the Tour of Turkey after a great acceleration.
Farrar, Van Hummel, Belletti coming next. Petacchi 8th, Greipel not even top10.
So he just needs one more stage win in Turkey to get a spot in the Giro d`Italia.
Maybe the next Cippolini/Petacchi?
Edit: A bit too late

Still haven`t seen what the FDJ rider Bouhanni has done to deserve a hard punch by Petacchi in the finish. |

Whatever it was, I'd love to know. Petacchi is usually extremely calm. Sedated even.

Astana: (epic) fail not to have a rider in the top 10?

I think he punctured when he jumped down from the sidewalk. (Just ahead of the rider who almost crashed).
That was a sprint à la Cavendish from Guardini. His sprint was twice as fast as Farrar's. Petacchi should be thrown out of the race for that punch, it was definately worse than Renshaw's headbutt in the Tour.
Also, I can't understand why Davis started his sprint so early, especially since he had two team mates in front of him. Stupid move, as he just gave Farrar a perfect leadout.

Haven`t seen Greipel puncturing, But the German ESP guy was also always surprised that he wasn`t behind Sieberg.
Davis was indeed quite stupid. Astana was the only team with a perfect 4 men train. But he had to go with ~600m to go. |

Petacchi was set as last of today after his punch. So obviously they won`t take him completely out of the race. Greipel also with +0 but second last.

Different races, same offence, different sanctions. Justice, anyone ?
I'm not saying Renshaw should have been sent home - or should not have - but this is a bit ridiculous. |

Quote from Cyclingnews:
Greipel won five stages at the Presidential Tour of Turkey last year but missed the sprint because of a flat tyre within three kilometres to go.

Guardini just felt back for some reason?
A pity as I was looking forward on this finish. It`s a perfect high peed finish for riders like him or Modolo. |

Modolo is doing the leadout for Belletti.
EDIT: Nice win from Iglinskiy, and that leadout from Modolo didn't go very well, that was a messy sprint.

V.Iglinsky won it, neither Davis nor Bazayev I think. |
