I dont race, but if i did i couldnt use that. I never bother to get my gear checked anyway, i just steal the check slip of someone else's bike. I never win so i never have to get it checked again. If i did win id just pull an armstrong and disappear for 20mins.

I think you should race! A new casette costs about 50 pounds, or you can just use this to get you gear to go min 14 teeth.
Not exactly.....
Along with adjusting the cable tension, you also need to limit the derailleur by turning in the high screw. Also you want to pull the cable through, otherwise you'll be able to move the lever, even with the derailleur being held in place by the limiting screw.
Me too, and boy did I need that in the tourversion of the AGR (150km) yesterday.
But hey, I finished. Not a meter flat, and a horrible final 20km where it started to rain and I froze up. First 50k in 26km average, second 50km in 24,5 and final 50km dropped to 23,5km average, especially in the last 20km
I rode with Plakker in the first part, then lost him in the second part, rejoined him in the 3rd part, but after the Eyserbosweg I didn't see him anymore He finished with 24,9 average.

Screwing off is for pansies, also enjoy long term spring deficiency in the retention spring. Not on sram though 1 spring for the win!

Yes, 1 spring for the win, especially because, although it saves weight, also weakens the whole structure, yeah
Basically the Portland Zoo is on top of a massive hill just outside the city, so people take small bikes (such as 20" BMX bikes) and fly down the hill at breakneck speed, all at night
Yeah Levi i used to live in San Raphael and i remember driving on that road a couple of times and it was pretty neat, wish they'd do a race UP it like the crit at Snake Alley, now that would be fun.
As for Deadpool's video, i'm guessing you can see a little better if you're actually there than you can on the video of it but if not that would be incredibly unnerving. Beyond the possibility of crashing it's just a totally unique and odd experience, i rode through a pretty big totally unlit tunnel while at a training camp on the Red River Gorge course and having to ride through it was just so strange, and slightly enjoyable, anyone who's had the privilage to have a similar experience knows what i'm talking about. Basically you just can't balance very well because you can't see anything to have a reference as to which way is up or left or right and you get timid and shaky because you have no clue if you're about to slam into the side of a mountain or just keep rolling along the road and you get vertigo and it's wild haha but i'm glad i've gone through it because looking back on it it was fun, oh yeah it's even crazier with multiple people in the dark at the same time because you end up playing slow speed bumper bikes / crashfest and all of this takes probably 10 min or so to get through 200m of tunnel haha. good times =]
