He tested positive in 2003. I don't remember him getting sanctioned, though.

So that's a neo-pro winning the GC in an Hors Category race for the first time in......ever?

It's a french race with 3 french guys only seconds away from him in the GC with one stage to go. I reckon it's not over yet.

Commentator idiocy on the 4 jours de Dunkerque, the top of the screen 49 km to go, commentator says:
"Look at that, 49kilometers per hour at this point, a few minutes ago it was 60, this is amazing speed"
And obviously a motorcycling commentator usually, he called the road "the track" before correcting himself.

Whohooo
As honourable and conscient portuguese cycling fans I sugest we should start preparing ourselves to see him leading Caisse in the Tour as Valverde will be out

That's a bit far stretched, however, I think his position in the team has definitely risen and it's not just some youngster. |

No neo-pro who rides every one of the spring classics as a neo-pro for one of the top teams is "just some youngster". Much less one who's supposed to be a climber/time triallist and finishes 58th in Roubaix
But above all he was an awesome playmaker. Fabulous, really. Fiorentina's best player ever.

Lincoln Grand Prix - British Premier Calender
Results:
Provisional
1. Russell Downing 3.11.11 - Pinarello
2. Ian Wilkinson st - Halfords
3. Chris Newton, 3.11.25 - Rapha
4. Dean Downing, 3.11.58 - Rapha
5. Malcolm Elliott - Pinarello
6. Mark McNally (1st Under 23) - Unsure on team
7. Arno van der Zwet - Irish team? Belgium?
8. Simon Gaywood, - Corey Cycles
9. Jonathon Tieran-Locke - Sports Beans Wilier
10. Kit Gilham, 3.12.18 - Sigma Sport
11. Jeroen Janssen
12. Kristain House
13. Dan Craven, 3.13.04
14. Simon Richardson
15. John Tanner
16. Peter Williams
17. Simon Holt
18. Tom Murray
19. Tom Slagter
20. Jon Mozeley,
As I had posted a month or so back, Jon Tiernan-Locke moved teams after Plowman Craven weren't paying him his wages. He's now with Sports Beans - Wilier, getting paid not a lot, working part time, but now has a completely free role within the team. And as such, because of that, he took 4th last weekend at Chas Messenger (single day race Doddy, not like Eurosport thinks) and came in 9th today. Both times finishing far above any Plowman Craven riders (unless McNally is one). Either way, as a rule of thumb, don't join PCA as a rider, unless you want bad tactics, bad team leaders, and no money.

You've destroyed everyone with that argument
Maestro
Btw, isn't Rui Costa a hilly specialist with very good TT skills?

Right now he's an all-rounder. He can develop a number of different ways, depending on what he focuses on.
