Ian, what are Durbridge stats? He finished in the podium in front of Cancellara. |

@Miguel98: Very odd: 76 TT, 80 PR, 66 STA, 58 MO & 65 HILL. How the hell did he get to be third in WC TT and Eric only 11th and Cancellara 4th?
@sutty68: Belgium is among the top favorite with Gilbert & Vanendert! So let'ts hope we can finish it off!
@JuanMotr: Let's hope so, he has much progression left for TT
@FreitasPCM: I cannot agree more |

Good results in Canada.
Good luck in the RR. Who are selected for Belgium?

Hi, I'm reporting back from Belgium. I wasn't able to report anything in Britain because our hotel didn't have internet! Can you believe that? I didn't know that still existed, hotels without internet.
What kind of crappy hotel is this? |

World Championship Road Race
On this profile, Gilbert is absolute leader. Jelle gets a free role while I'll be lieutenant to the captain today.
America spots talent as our very own Vasser (our trainée) is selected in the USA team! He attacked multiple times!
At about 30km from the finish, Gilbert told me this was his moment. He told me to bring him up this mountain as fast as possible, then my job would be done for the day. So I put in a lot of effort.
The national coach was going crazy as this wasn't planned. However, I kept going because Gilbert told me not to stop! I hope this won't endanger my selection for next year...
But I'm weak and I don't make it to the top. Gilbert leaves me and I try to hang on to a small peloton.
It came back together for a while and then the last time we went over the hill, Valverde and Visconti managed to get away. Gilbert started chasing them as he was sure they'd make it to the finish.
Let's sprint...
Visconti is the new World Champion. Gilbert couldn't finish it off in the sprint.

This wasn't a nice experience for me. I've been called many names by the national coach, I've been unable to help Gilbert properly and it just wasn't any fun. I finish 21th, which isn't bad, but at the moment, I don't care. I feel disappointed and leave Firenze with my head down.
Gran Premio di Lombardia
The final race of my season.
I helped Jelle as good as possible. Yet again, he gets a taste of a silver medal. The Schlecks out-smarted him in a finale with 3.

Indeed. Not many wins.
However, Vasser being 11th in WC RR is very nice, he's our American trainée, what a talent! |

Season 2 at Lotto-Belisol
Well, we made it. We're at the end of our second season in this Belgian team. This year was the breakthrough year for both of us. Let's take a look at the final standings:
UCI Ranking
Superprestige Ranking
Victories
Cyanide Trophy
Stijn was one of the 10 nominees, which is an extremely great honor!
My season was quite good. I won my first major WT stage race, Tirreno Adriatico. I was also part of the team that helped Jurgen Van Den Broeck win the Tour, which was a great experience. I think I'm ready for a leading role next year.
However, I'm definitely not a big winner. Last season I did better (4wins), but this year I only had a stage win and the overall in Tirreno - Adriatico.
Updated on the first page but here a review of my time at Lotto-Belisol:
GT Palmares
| Giro d'Italia | Tour de France | Vuelta a España | 2012 | 8th (1) + KoM | | | 2013 | | 10th + Young Jersey | | | |

Well, it's safe to say I am now one of the big guns in the peloton. I've been training extremely hard for this but I did it, I achieved success! I hope to have a long and great career, and this is the best start of it. 6th in the UCI Ranking, 3th in the Superprestige Ranking, 14 wins this season, including 2 stage races. How about that?!
My career overview:

@fcancellara: I already thought of it, but I already have 30 riders! Maybe I'll sack one and get Voeckler in the team |
