No more plans in the internet, mate
A shame that Soler lost contact because of Charteau! Could have been a good stage, even though Samy Sánchez might have been too strong anyway.. Close GC, I guess Andy Schleck will lose his lead anyway

Yes, blame the French!!
Great plan, great first plan of working it out, bad 2nd part.... Man, with all this bad luck, you must crush the competition in the Vuelta!

@tsmoha
We know Soler would not win the stage but he might had finished in top10 or top5 as he still had some energy left but burned all trying to regroup...he went empty in last 1,5kms....
@dienblad
Thanks...it almost worked out but those descents are tricky.....at Vuelta it might happen the same....

I think first plan has more chance. The pace will be to high at the foot of the Alpe for Valverde to breakaway.

All the best for the Alp d'Huez! Soler is doing really well in the KoM jersey. By the way what is Valverde's fitness? He seems to be seriously underachieving. |

Although I might not comment here regularly, I follow your story faithfully and really admire the dedication and the richness of detail you put in all your reports. Hats off, really! And this report tops everything I have ever seen Really impressive what you did there. Even if the results can't keep up with the greatness of the reports, it's a thorougly enjoyable read!
But well, enough of the praises Good luck for stage 19, may your plan work this time

Don't rush him it's probably because he won the stage with Valverde and got yellow!
