What's wrong with Ciolek? It's like he can't perform if he's designated leader...

Replace Ciolek with Milram.
They have been doing badly all season, except for the Frankfurt City Loop. Only Knees performs on his level. Gerdemann has been dissapointing, Wegmann was even horrible in the 3 ardennes classics, but saved his spring season by winning in Frankfurt. Ciolek has been absent...and also Terpstra has been doing less good then last year |

I would, but the thing is Ciolek with Columbia was insanely good when working for Cavendish at the Tour, but as soon as Cavendish left the Tour he went from 2nd-fastest guy-at-the Tour-behind-Cavendish to just plain slow.
Then he was team leader for the hamburg cyclassics and tour of poland....and he was nowhere.

I heard in some forums that Milram bought the win at Eschborn-Frankfurt City Loop 
Wegmann had the flu and was "fit" just before Amstel Gold Race.
How can he then manage to win Frankfurt when he isn´t that fit as Kroon?
I think Ciolek, Gerdemann etc. would perform better when they have instead of van Gerwen and his Bouygues Telecom tactic "get me some more TV presentation" good DS like Riis.
Why should Ciolek sprint when his leader is away?
He worked very hard for Cavendish 
I think Ciolek won the bunch sprint at the day where Chavanel won, the day before the last time trial.

Steegmans syndrome..on shape..healthy..still cant perform without Boonen.
Do you can name any stage racer (beside Klöden)..who has been afraid to be leader..?

Popovych was a good last man for Lance, but hasnt preformed ever scince, Leipheimer never brought to Rabobank and Gerolsteiner what he did together with Contador. |

Jose Azevedo was also a great help for Lance and also Beloki but when it came to be leader of the Discovery Team for Tour he didn't do pretty well (19th). But besides that "bad" result that year, he performed really good in other races:
- 6th Paris Nice;
- 10th Vuelta al Pais Basco
- 4th Dauphine Libere
(The results were based on Wikipedia so they might be wrong, not the Dauphine though, that's a sure one)

Yeah Azevedo is a total 'leading blooper'. Before going abroad to Discovery he was counted inumerous times as one of the most serious contenders to win Volta a Portugal and everytime he cracked in the Queen Stage ruining all his chances.

Actually, Rujano is a reasonably good time triallist. He's about as good as Valverde or Samuel Sánchez.
This was actually a very poor performance for him.
EDIT: bear in mind that pretty much every race he's entered since the 2005 Giro has been a below average performance. Back then he was consistently beating guys like Pinotti.

yeah nothing since then, 0. So shall we think that he just was in his best form ever in his life that won't happen again or that he had 'someone' to help him with cookies?
