I think the biggest winner of today was Simoni, what a TT from that guy!
But also Contador gained much time on the other favourites, I can't see anyone riding away from them in the mountains, it is up to Simoni to show that he is stronger than Contador in the mountains |

Today we saw two men-Rico(he beats Di Luca!) and Contador!Maybe Riccco will win in the great mountains stages but there is 2 time trials, last stage Contador will win a time from Rico, but I think Ricardo will clench the Giro in the mountains...Is Contador in top form and will he?I think he will be a very tired after a 15th stage...And Ricardo will be a new winner!!!Di Luca seems tired, not in form...He wants to win but it seems he CAN'T beat Ricardo!!!We will see what think about it Kloden...But I think the new winner will called Ricardo Ricco! |

Contador has great recuperation and is only getting stronger this Giro, I don't tink he will be more tired than overrated Ricco.
I even predict Ricco will completely fail in the hardest stages and fall to 5th/6th place |

I'm 50/50 on Ricco faltering. he won't win the giro, that I have no doubt of. Even as a youth rider, he was just "good" in the mountains while being dominant on shorter climbs.
I'm going to laugh a bit next saturday when Di Luca blows up completely.
Right now I can't see this slipping away from Contador, but at the giro you can never take anything for granted. there have been too many examples of riders crashing out or being thrown out for doping while leading a giro, so I'll believe that rider X or rider Y has won when he's in the maglia rosa on the podium in Milano.

damn Contador has ..almost minut lead now.. he is to ambition he wont give up...and Klöden holdind second..hard for other teams. My promo rider Bruseghin won the stage..he well of corse down on that list. But he is possible top 10 guy.
..and all time Giro favorite for me Simoni was biggest winner today.. that TT time show's that he should be in great shape.. |

I think that Contador will fail too win the Giro it is only one flat TT again and it is only 21 km long. He will not gain much time on the other TT in the mountain. Ricco will be the best in the first mountain stages but will fall off afterwards. Di Luca will loose some time to Ricco in the beginning but not much he will be stabile and defend his victory. Contador will simply bee to weak in the realmountain stages the same with Kloden(just wait and see this is correct). At least that is what I hope will happen. Simoni could be a surprise I expect better of him this year. |

Contador won tour de france last year, so I really do not think he will be weak in the mountains.. !!! |

I think you have seen another Giro then me. Contador looks stronger everyday. And he is the best climber in the entire peloton, no doubt about that. So how exactly is he going to lose? Only if he falls again or somehow doesn't get stronger anymore |

Ricco could have done a better time but supposedly he fell and could have gone 40 seconds faster. or so he says

Because we don't like him therefore we don't want to him win therefore he will win
Simple when you think it through

That is what I thought, just ASTANA Hating (Like Disco Hating) as always....Contador has looked better by the day and even when he is out of shape he did not lose that much time on the uphill finish......Soler (not sure he is in the peleton?) may be the best climber overall, but Alberto is the best overall rider. |

I don't really have much doubt that Contador will win this, but as I said before, I won't say it's done before it actually is. Especially because I'd like to see the fight go down to the wire instead of someone dominating.
As for Soler, I really don't think he's the best climber at all. He came fifth or so in a couple of stages and lost several minutes in others. that's a far cry from being the best climber.
He is in this peloton, but he's injured, so he might not do much. |

I reckon Soler is probably using this as preperation for the tour as I can see Barloworld being much more focused there. He hasnt looked great so far and every time the peleton splits he seems to be on the wrong side |

well, his goals here were a stage win and a top5 on GC, but he's got a fractured wrist and a hurt leg, so he'll probably just quit in a few days. |

Isn't that Contador? or have they both got the same injuries? |

Judging him on his previous races this year, what makes you think he will crack??
He has dominated in every race he has been in, and while he did not prepare as much as he could have because of the last minute invite, if he hangs in through the early stages he could come back to form just in time for the real mountains. |
