That is right folks, In late June I became the Croatian road race champion. After a hard day the race boiled down to me vs. Durasek. The race suited him more but I wasn't going to be a pushover and was thrilled when I realised I was crossing the line first. A huge moment for me, being a passionate Croatian and all.
Food for thought for the team that would sign me for next season as well. They would have to design a shirt all for me! Not that I would mind wearing the normal team livery. Speaking of teams and next season, this is where I spill the beans.
The team me, little Špiro Milošević, will be signing for next season is .....
That is right. Next season I will be riding alongside the likes of Kristoff at Team Katusha. Fair to say I was over the moon when I got the call from a Mr Vodkakov. I don't reckon a better offer could have been presented to me by ANY other team. Needless to say I accepted the offer sharpish, especially as I had the assurance I would be leading several races next season.
Expect to see and hear a lot more from me, Špiro Milošević.
See spoiler for Špiro Milošević's previous post:
Spoiler
See that pic. Well that about sums me, Špiro Milošević, up after my stint at the two-bit joint which is IAM cycling. I guess you know by now that I am leaving IAM cycling and I feel great about it, yes siree!
I haven't had many chances at IAM of doing, well, anything. So the second I broke off the shackles I went back to Croatia and was fortunate enough to get signed by Podravka - Radio Rijeka and was then able to compete in five domestic races before I would try my luck at the national championships.
Zagreb - Osiljek 211KM
( A flattish stage where normally I would have fancied my chances. Alas, I was a bit rusty and on a bad day and couldn't match the other fast guys, I didn't contest the sprint.)
| 1 | Petar Apostolović | Matica Hrvatska | 5h31'59 | | 2 | Hrvatin Knežević | Hrvatska Elektroprivreda | s.t. | | 3 | Balázs Papp | Zagreb Montaža Group | s.t. | | 4 | Boris Filipović | Team Velika Gorica | s.t. | | 5 | Fran Popović | HEP – Proizvodnja | s.t. | | 6 | Cvetko Ahačič | Slovenia | s.t. | | 7 | Zlatko Sorkočević | Matica Hrvatska | s.t. | | 37 | Špiro Milošević | Podravka - Radio Rijeka | + 13 |
Koprivnica - Pozega 113 KM
(Man, it sure felt good to win again! Nagy put me in the perfect position and I gave it everything. The coach said I didn't need to, but I wanted that win. I had to be sure.)
| 1 | Špiro Milošević | Podravka - Radio Rijeka | 2h39'48 | | 2 | Dragutin Grubiša | Jadranski Naftovod | s.t. | | 3 | Petar Apostolović | Hrvatska Elektroprivreda | s.t. | | 4 | Nikola Harambašić | Serbia | s.t. | | 5 | Prvoš Jurišić | Zagreb Montaža Group | s.t. | | 6 | Balázs Papp | Zagreb Montaža Group | s.t. | | 7 | Attila Nagy | Podravka - Radio Rijeka | + 2 |
Pakrac - Krapina 129 KM
(Good lord, it certainly ain't all flat in Croatia! I climbed off the bike, I didn't feel I could tackle the final mountain of the stage. I was, though, pleased with Vladimir taking the scalp of some big, yet disgraced, names.)
| 1 | Vladimir Miholjević | Podravka - Radio Rijeka | 3h45'48 | | 2 | Riccardo Riccò | Italy | + 16 | | 3 | Patrik Sinkewitz | Team Velika Gorica | +19 | | 4 | Tadej Valjavec | Slovenia | s.t. | | 5 | Ulpëtin Ruçi | Albania | + 46 | | 6 | Grgur Horvat | Zagreb Montaža Group | + 1'11 | | 7 | Dalibor Ugrenović | Team Velika Gorica | + 2'02 | | DNF | Špiro Milošević | Podravka - Radio Rijeka | DNF |
Novska - Belišce 117 KM
(Just a few days after climbing off the bike, I tasted victory once again. I just edged it ahead of my old rival, Dragutin, in one real humdinger of a finish!)
| 1 | Špiro Milošević | Podravka - Radio Rijeka | 2h55'03 | | 2 | Dragutin Grubiša | Jadranski Naftovod | s.t. | | 3 | Sefik Kolašinac | Bosnia & Herzegovina | s.t. | | 4 | Attila Nagy | Podravka - Radio Rijeka | s.t. | | 5 | Balázs Papp | Zagreb Montaža Group | s.t. | | 6 | Boris Filipović | Team Velika Gorica | s.t. | | 7 | Vjekoslav Zvonko | Matica Hrvatska | s.t. |
Daruvar - Cepin 104 KM
(In my final race I was acting as lead-out for Nagy, I felt obliged to return the favour. On reflection it was good training, If all goes well and a certain Mr Vodkakov lives up to his word then I will be doing a lot more leading out next season. Attila, sadly, didn't have the top speed to match the Serbians on this day.)
| 1 | Nikola Harambašić | Serbia | 2h15'33 | | 2 | Petar Apostolović | Matica Hrvatska | s.t. | | 3 | Attila Nagy | Podravka - Radio Rijeka | s.t. | | 4 | Cvetko Ahačič | Slovenia | s.t. | | 5 | Balázs Papp | Zagreb Montaža Group | s.t. | | 6 | Boris Filipović | Team Velika Gorica | s.t. | | 7 | Špiro Milošević | Podravka - Radio Rijeka | s.t. |
Well, folks, that sums up my racing recently after leaving IAM. Speaking of which I am available for any team to come and speak to me. However, I have received what might just be the best offer for this guy but you never know. If you are interested in little 'ol me then send some mail before 18:00 tomorrow.
How did I get on at the national champs? Well find out when I post tomorrow along with which team I will sign for next season.
Špiro

Husani Mashaba rejected, too many stats under 60. All others are good.
EDIT: this also means the Mashaba to MTN deal needs to be remade.

Sorry, didn't know about that. Here's some updated stats. You still want him, MTN? I only moved one point from cobbles to prologue, so it shouldn't make a big difference...

You need to count the res points as well, so 10 points too many at the moment.

''There is a minimum RES value of 65. You can get it higher, but be aware it only works in PCM11 and PCM12''Resistance counts like 10 points but here it is saying it is minimum

He's not actually been that bad this season - quite remarkable actually. However I've already lost Mat... Oh wait, I'm not supposed to say that yet
The revolution must remain a secret. Also, to the person (undisclosed because I'm nice) who just messaged me, I can not make your custom rider for you
