Prete did good but not enought... he needs to step up if he wants to be a real contender.. Haig and O´Brien were the best.

@baia: Prete is still young and he will improve! But Haig?
OFF-SEASON DOWN UNDER!
So guys. The 2014 season is officially over! Time for the off-season and more work on the database and races. I will update the thread with some news on transfers, recaps, previews or other story-related stuff from time to time, but it's now time for the work behind the scenes. So don't expect a high pace with the updates! One thing is for sure:
The Aussies will come back bigger and better!
First news: updated the first post with honour rolls for the NRS and VRS. With links to recaps or rankings for the specific seasons!

And there it is confirmed for all eternity. Nathan Earle and Huon Salmon - Genesys, National Road Series Champions 2014! You can't top that.
Obviously i comment a lot and i've been a huge fan of this project, but goddamn it's amazing! The amount of quality and detailed prep work just leads to a brilliant season, with great racing and great reports. And the screenshots! Unmatched!
No other "story" has had me quite so hooked and engaged. The loyalty and passion i've developed for Huon, and Earle, is overflowing into the real world now. Something that just doesn't happen for me with other stories.
I keep saying it, but just amazing in every aspect! 2015 i can only hope is just as good

Thank you for the nice words, guys! I may repeat myself, but i really appreciate and enjoy your support and kind words on the story and stuff
@sutty: Then it's time for Budget to build a strong squad now in the off-season
@baia: Thanks, mate! If i will need help, you'll be the first to ask then
@Manx: Special thanks for this ridicously nice comment! Your support and feedback on the races definitely became an essential part of this here! And it's really nice to know that you're into this irl as well

Good luck with all of the behind the scenes things! I'm going to try and follow and comment here more during the upcoming season, since I think I haven't in a while, probably for most of this season actually.
Just quickly scanning the last few pages tho, your layout is probably my favourite and the screens always look so great! You got my vote for team story of the year, because I believe it was the highest quality team story on the site and I think its a unique idea that really has worked and the amount of work just to get it started is more than most stories require through their entire life as a story.

@valv: Just noticed your nice comment Thank you for stopping by with those kind words and also the vote (my vote went to your story, not kidding)! It's always great to read stuff like that, especially from a well known quality storywriter like yours. Would be cool to see you stopping by next season again, yes Will take some time to kick this season off though..
JUST SIT AND WATCH!
Some may have noticed some new shirts popping up on dailys, some may have noticed some new stages appearing in a certain thread.. some may just sit and wait for the new NRS season to begin.. but you all should know that I'm already busy in preparing the stuff. It may take a bit longer than the off-season last year, but my idea is that it will be worth the waiting.. In the meantime, just sit and watch: girls, screens, news and other stuff, that I may post from time to time.
A free beer if anyone will guess which climb we see here.. take your time and watch out for hints in the next couple of days..

No. I put that there. I knew it was Arthur's Seat anyway. I am a good guesser. I only saw it in his stage thread after I posted that

Good way to finish the season for Euride, with a dominant victory in Bright and the VRS title. O'Brien should get his chance next year as Earle disappears |

Here you go, Jakstar! A true Aussie simply knows the Arthurs Seat climb, I guess
@sutty: Your wish will be my command
@Froome: Yap, Euride and O'Brien with at least this title and great race at the end of the year. Should give him another boost for his next attempt to grab the NRS title after three consecutive podiums! More news on Earle soon

Giving O'Brien a boost? Simple! Transfer him to Huon where the manager will guide him to victory

Beware of the beer, Jakstar! And don't drive under influence, or how you say in english?
Huon Salmon Genesys becomes Avanti Racing Team
Having been previously gone by Huon Salmon Genesys Wealth Advisers, a change in title sponsors has bought a change in name with the Continetal outfit now known as the Avanti Racing Team. The team manager Steve Price said the team has had a strong partnership with Avanti during the 2014 season which precipitated the change.
Alumni of the team include several riders who have gone onto race at WorldTour level with Richie Porte, Will Clarke, Nathan Haas, Steele Von Hoff and Nathan Earle - who's heavily linked to Team Sky for the upcoming season - all having spent time with the Tasmanian squad.
Coming off a dominant NRS season in 2014 - winning both the individual's and the team's ranking - Avanti Racing will soon announce changes on the roster for the 2015 campaign!
The new kit - once again presented by M133 Design!
