THE RACE

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-100KM.jpg

As soon as the flag was lowered to signal the start of the race four riders went away and are still in the front more than eighty kilometres later, they are Remme/Joker Merida, Hales/IG Sigma Sport, Kilun/Kenda 5 Hour Energy and Boom/Cyclingteam De Rijke and at the moment there lead is over seven minutes

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/034-GRAND%20PRIX%20OF%20MOSCOW/034-PIC4_zps5fae7a90.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-80KM.jpg

The lead is crumbling slightly but this doesn't deter the foursome from continuing with this steady pace

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/034-GRAND%20PRIX%20OF%20MOSCOW/034-PIC5_zpsb9ee51a8.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-60KM.jpg

Endura Racing are setting the pace at the front of the pack as they start to think about their man for the sprint Russell Downing

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/034-GRAND%20PRIX%20OF%20MOSCOW/034-PIC6_zpsc2e4fbdf.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-40KM.jpg

The pace they are setting is having an effect on those riders at the back of the peleton who are really struggling to hold on

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/034-GRAND%20PRIX%20OF%20MOSCOW/034-PIC7_zps25c29438.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-20KM.jpg

The break is inside the twenty kilometre to go mark and the lead stands at 1m 21s, it doesn't look like these riders are going to be successful today

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/034-GRAND%20PRIX%20OF%20MOSCOW/034-PIC8_zps3415bd15.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-10KM.jpg

Knowing that there time at the front is going to be coming to an end any second soon, the breakaway riders start attacking each other as a last resort

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/034-GRAND%20PRIX%20OF%20MOSCOW/034-PIC9_zpsac806a13.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-5KM.jpg

Kilun/Kenda 5 Hour Energy powers on regardless hoping to be able to stay away until the end in Moscow

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/034-GRAND%20PRIX%20OF%20MOSCOW/034-PIC10_zpsc7bb17b0.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-1KM.jpg

As we go under the red kite Kilun gets swallowed up as the big boys take over and the first rider to show himself is Bagdonas of An Post Sean Kelly

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/034-GRAND%20PRIX%20OF%20MOSCOW/034-PIC11_zps1c20da72.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/checkeredflag1.gif

But he has gone too soon and is passed at the line by Tino Thomel of Team NSP Ghost who grabs the spoils here in Moscow today

The team kept a very low profile here in Russia today, so to grab a sixth place finish with Alexander is a Good result for us
