Scarponi called that "attacking early on"

Cycling is doomed

They all just looked dead. Scarponi would have killed himself and his chances to finish in top 3 if he had attacked earlier.

Agreed - drag would have saved him the 3 minutes he's behind by now Pfft

Unless Rodriguez has the best day of his career tomorrow, the winner of this Giro is Ryder Hesjedal. Don't think they'll manage to drop him tomorrow.

Basso is definitely past his peak. Maybe Scarponi too? They're both weaker than they've been in the past.

Rodriguez will need a day and a half though

there's no way he'll pull out enough of a gap over Hesjedal for a 32km TT

I hope you're right.

How do you think Kreuziger will do on the TT?
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

I told you this Giro sucks favourite wise.Basso and Scarponi past his peak and riders like Hesjedal and Rodriguez competing for GC win. But congrats t Hesjedal, he deserves this for his efforts.

Well, Hesjedal's said to hava a bad day per GT, or it's tomorrow or he hasn't it this time

Kreuziger will be dead tommorow probably but it doesn not matter.Better to be 20th and win a stage than be 5-10th again. This could turn nightmare into the big psychical boost for the season.

I remember he suffered in stage 15, or at least, lost more time there.

And looked like crap in the Colle Molella. They could have killed him there, but of course, there was a bit of flat after the climb, so the sole thought of the favourites attacking was outrageous.

This. If Hesjedal will win the Giro.It will be also impotence of his opponents that give it to him

I see the surprising results as a good sign.

The favourites are much more even than they've been in the past, and a rider like Hesjedal are able to match the top riders like Scarponi and Basso on the climbs. I think that indicates that the sport is much cleaner, with less dominant riders. Like Contador last year.

And obviously also because it's not possible to attack on an earlier climb and win by several minutes anymore.

I don't really think losing 39 secs is a bad day for Hesjedal
