Interesting Sky jersey. Cant say I'm the biggest fan, but it gives your story a different feel from other stories, and thats a good thing.
I especially hate racing the Aussie champs when you dont have a rider that can win them. I'm always so looking forward to the year, and just want to get the "pointless" race out of the way

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately bad news coming up.
After experiencing even more problems, like the game crashing while trying to start the first stage of the Tdu, the career file is now completely unplayable. Really frustrating after all the work I've put down on it.
Still, nothing's lost. I just have to redo everything from scratch again, using a weeklysave from late last year. I'm really sorry for this, as it means it'll take probably another week for the new season to start for real, but it's the only solution.
I just started working on the save game file, and it shouldn't take just as long as last time, as I won't have to place all the shirts in their respective folders again. Still, transfers will take a huge time once again.

Ah, sh*t happens  Same thing happened to me a while ago.. hopefully, you will keep the motivation to re-do all this stuff.. First time is fun, second time not that much, imo..

Thanks guys. It's not that the work is hard, it's just really frustrating to have to do it all over again. But I'll be meticulous this time, to make sure no bugs appear.
And just for information, I'm progressing much faster than expected. I've already updated all the teams again, now I've just got to do the same with the riders. So this shouldn't take too long after all.

I know what you are going through Pelli, I had been updating my database with all the team changes and quite a lot of additional teams and races ready to start my first story, but when it came to start, PCM kept crashing all the time, so i have decided to start again from scratch and scrutinise every bit of information i enter, Good Luck Mate |

And also a small question. Just to make sure I don't edit the wrong things.
When moving a rider from one team to another, do I need to edit anything more than the Team ID's in DYN_cyclist and DYN_contract_cyclist?

As far as I remember: no. But you have to ensure, that you don't edit the Contract_ID instead of Team_ID (in DYN_contract). I guess you do, but it's sometimes a bit complicated with all the IDs

Small update on the situation: I've finally completed all the rosters!
Now there's just a few small details to do, and then I'm finally back in business again. If everything goes as planned, the first report should be up already tonight, or at latest tomorrow!
Can't wait to start playing again!

Thanks johannes. Unfortunately even more bad news.
Even though I've done everything exactly as you should, the game has still found a way to bug up and destroy the gameplay. For some reason, when I start a race, the startlist includes a team named "-" consisting of riders I've removed from their teams. The team isn't racing, but they are in the startlist, causing a crash whenever clicking one of the names in it.
Also, some other teams like Saxobank for example, somehow entered the race (Tour Down Under) with just one rider, who is, just like the ones in the "-" team not participating, but only named in the startlist. Clicking any of those single rider teams also causes a crash.
That might not sound like a problem, as long as I don't click any of the riders, but unfortunately, it is. Because it has also affected the whole startlist. The normal teams are for some reason now sending only three or four riders, even though you normally have to send 7. Also these riders are all really weak, making the startlist ridiculously easily beaten.
At the moment I'm considering to shoot myself. I'm 100% sure that I have edited everything in the right way, so I don't really know what the problem is. After working hard with the save game in a week, I don't really feel like redoing all that again, a third time. On the other hand, I don't want to loose this career. I was looking forward to playing with the new team really, really much, but now I'm starting to think that it might never happen.
Therefore I'm now asking you guys what to do. The least favourable way would be to edit everything once again, only to most likely experience problems again. Otherwise I could wait for the 2012 DB and start over again, editing the team squad to have the new riders in it. The third and last option would be to start a completely new story with a different team. If so, I'd probably use the 2012 DB for it.

Boy that is just pure crap. Are you sure you can't ask CrueTrue or something?
If that savegame is gone, I say wait for V1 and restart with 1T4i, with all your transfers and such.
No matter what you do, I'm sure it will be great. Good Luck.

Wow, that just sucks. Teddy's suggestions were my first thoughts as well. Even if you say you're sure everything's edited right, maybe someone else who's experienced with stuff like that could look it over.
Otherwise I agree with Teddy, you could use the final 2012 DB and then just do the transfers of your team. As you said, it would be such a pity do lose this story.

i see it in the same way - dont give up because your story is great!!! also i think there are some really helpful and experienced guys in that forum when it comes to databases, so someone might be able to help you out...
and if not you could still simply use the daily 2012 db and just do some of the important transfers - maybe don t even do the kittel transfer because i d like to see him remaining in your team  no just kidding
but it would be a pity to see the story end like this |

Damn, that's bad news. I also suggest waiting for the 2012 DB, wouldn't like to see this story go dead... hope everything will work with the 2012 DB.
