Decent ride by Tommy D. He is creeping up the standings...
Plenty of time for him to run away back down them again - as usual
Awww..why do you have to ruin things by using reason and common sense. Let me have hope for a few days until reality sets in. |

So - a breakaway today maybe?
Todays stage has 6 categorized climbs - maybe we'll se Moncoutie on the loose today as well. |

I just had the opportunity to watch the stage via cyclingtorrents - really exciting action on the final climb, as expected
It was nice to see Moncoutié win once again in the Vuelta with a perfect breakaway ride. RodrÃguez was very impressive, but you have to wonder if he can keep up this form until the end. It would appear to be between him and Nibali and Antón, but there's still a long long way to go. Finally, Sastre looked encouragingly strong today. Maybe he and Mosquera can gain some ground in the classification later when the longer climbs appear like the one into Andorra on Wednesday. |

Really enhoying watching Moncoutie these days. Hasn't overextended himself by chasing Rabunal in the mountainsprints. Such a cool heal, so calculating. Grabs the KoM jersey by finishing strong, and even has it in him to go after David Lopez and try for the stagewin. Class act! |

Looking at the profile, no - looking at the riders, yes!
I would've put my money on it ending in a very very fast climb where everyones just happy to ride a hard pace. But with these guys you never know. Rodriguez likes to attack, and if someone moves, everyone will go.
But it's only around 1500 meters of climbing, so it's hard to say. I wouldn't change the channel tho' =)

It kicks up quite a bit with just over a kilometer to go, so hopefully, but probably small time gaps if anything.
So Peraud takes the Red Jersey? It should be close. |

Lopez is away from the front group, Martinez is chasing.
I think maybe Nibali will make a move today, just a feeling

Nibali needs to, in my opinion, because of the time he could lose to Anton in particular in tthe mountains. |
