Horner's done very well at the Tour and was very impressive when he won in the basque country.
While Machado is 36th on the CQRanking, which is extremely impressive for a neo-pro stage racer who didn't get to ride any GTs (the only people rankied above him who didn't either are Boonen and Gilbert).
Brajkovic was also very impressive in a single race out of the entire season.
But the rest of the team was dire.

On the other hand, can't you find a list of such riders on every team? You can't have superstars only.
Also, Busche doesn't deserve to be on that list. It's his 1st year as a pro, and he did quite well in Austria. |

Especially considering it's only been about two years since he started cycling seriously.

I would guess this may end up like the Lampre-Isd thing. |

Biciciclismo presents it as fact. And when they say something is a fact, not a rumour.......well, let's just say they're reliable.
Not to mention they're extremely well connected with basically any spanish cyclist around. And there's a ton of them on Vroomen's squad.

The Belgian newspaper "Het Nieuwsblad" today said that Garmin is negotiating with Hushovd+Haussler+Hammond+Klier and that Cervélo stops, because the new company owners don't see future in cyclingsponsoring. |

Cervélo DS Jean-Paul van Poppel to Nusport.nl:
Quote:
I can't deny that this is true. The future will change. How, that's a question for me as well. I expect us to quit altogether, but at this time I can't really say anything with certainty.
Not good news. |

It's a shame, really.
Besides, Saxo Bank could have used some of those helpers for the classics |

A company that makes bikes, don't want to sponsor?

It sounds weird indeed, but that's what the paper states |

I think they mean that it doesn't make sense sponsoring their own team. Obviously, they will still continue sponsoring other teams - Garmin being one of them.
Anyway, keep the transfer talk here, and the stuff about Cervelo disbanding in News in August. |

Klier could go to Radio Shack too.

Pain is a big fat creature riding on your back. The farther you pedal, the heavier he feels. The harder you push, the tighter he squeezes your chest. The steeper the climb, the deeper he digs his jagged, sharp claws into your muscles.- Scott Martin
