And I know Arvesen finished 1 group in front of Hoogerland, but who cares after you get dropped by the best 9 anyway?
Hoogerland even attacked with Kolobnev and Rodriguez in the penultimate lap. So what you were saying is simply a lie.
I've heard that Hoogerland is called Jonny Testosterony in the bunch. Nice nickname..
Since we're into nicknames:
Back when the media didn't care about doping so riders could say whatever they wanted (first half of the 90s), Armstrong wasn't called "Lance" or "Armstrong" by anyone in the pack. Everyone called him "cortisone neck".

@mattiasgt, that's because he has naturally high testosteron, they revoked his ban when he was 18 because it was proven he has naturally high testosterone, body made... |

BS - we all know about "naturally high" values. The fact they are so over natural that its a joke.

The same thing Santiago Botero said about his testosterone levels:
"Botero cleared
The suspicions that cyclist Santiago Botero was on the juice have been allayed by Spanish Doctor, Eufemiano Fuentes, who demonstrated that the rider’s high testosterone levels are natural in origin"
The same thing Landaluze said, after his 2005 Dauphine's victory (ban revoked, by the way).
https://www.bikera...luze-10471
Both of them, with levels about 8ng/ml, for normal values about 0,2-1,2ng/ml
Or a masterpiece from Landis: ""We will explain to the world why this is not a doping case but a natural occurrence,"
The funny thing is that a 4:1 ratio testosterone-epotestosterone is the limit, so you can take a fair amount of testosterone and not being found guilty.
So "natural values" of more than 11 times the average (0,7ng/ml)? Yeah, right...

No you cannot take a fair amount of testosterone and not being found guilty, because synthetic/non natural testosterone WILL be found using current techniques. |

As far as I know, current isotope ratio mass techniques are just appropiate if the testosterone was administered via intramuscular injection, but you can easily avoid detection if you take the testosterone orally. But, again, I may be mistaken.

Who will use testo now? it's so easy to detect it!

The route has already been published - it's pretty much dead-flat. Same in 2011, by the way (in Copenhagen).
(Of course, the profiles do give you the impression that there's plenty of hills - don't be fooled by that ) |

Yes you can because the sample is only tested for synthetic testosterone if the testosterone/epitestosterone ratio is above 4/1. You have to go way overboard with your doping to get above that.
Experts are constantly criticising the WADA for not lowering the bar to 1.5/1 which would be fair.

Interesting article in Het Nieuwsblad reveals that all the Australian riders at the WC voted for riding for Gerrans instead of Evans (except Evans, of course, who voted for himself). |

Logic, keeping in mind that they wanted to win rather than the silver medal
Jokes aside, that's what I'd have voted before the worlds. |

Yeah Cadel was "free to do whatever" and Gerrans was the protected rider.
Oh and i've not heard it but apparently Hugh Porter from the BBC called Evans as Gerrans until the final km

He did during the initial break from the lead group with Rodriguez & Kolobnev, but soon realised his mistake. Only called him Gerrans once or twice as far as I remember, too!
Can't be too harsh on Porter though, he's more of a track guy to my mind at least |

He's awful when commentating on the track too! |
