Because Nibali or Valverde could have gone in the descent,or Fuglsang to put Landa into trouble by forcing him to work.

Umm Giro stage 8 buddy, I was asking why someone would be calling the GC guys cowards because it doesn't make sense

Well there is little to gain on a technical descent with wet patches and with so much racing to come, why destroy your Giro now when the work has already been done to get rid of one guy
