How you can go from having control of 3 low skill break away riders, and having 3-4 teams going full on in the chase, and still not catch them is beyond my understanding. Racing in the US is just weird. |

What isn`t seen on the PCS result above. Degenkolb made it over the climbs tonight and even was able to sprint properly. Not having the speed again but being 19th is definitely a step forward.
Seems as if his training schedule towards the Tour de France is working nicely. |

Yeah he is doing everything right to get himself back into race winning condition, it would be good to see him taking a Tour stage and seeing as he is proven over classics distances he could be a chance to do something at the Worlds this year

I agree with it being good to see him getting back in shape.
But at the Worlds he's only the 3rd option if Kittel and Greipel don't do or feel well.
Both are faster, terminal velocity and accerleration wise. And Greipel did quite well in the Classics. Apart from that I think they should ride for Greipel he's 33 years old. Last chance for him for the rainbow stripes, Kittel will prolly get another shot at it.
And Degenkolb can win a more hilly, classics kinda race.
But back to the Tour of California:
Somehow, to me, the racing on those wide roads looks strange. Anyone else get that feeling? |

Well Kittel is yet to show he can last a classics distance so he has a question mark against him in that regard, I didn't say Dagenkolb would be leader but he is an option in a hard ridden windy worlds

Just the usual Iranian races. Surprised the Iranians/Kazakhs don`t have all the spots there. |

That was insane by Alaphilippe, just insane....
Kind of a scary moment with a moto (again), went so slow that Alaphilippe almost ran into it while looking back at Stetina. |
