The stage Niels Albert won wasn't the same as the one Herklotz won as far as I know. So that argument is pretty much invalid. |

I think both were on Ballon d'Alsace, so at least they were pretty similair...

Herklotz's won on (actually after a short descent from the top) Le Grand Ballon, not Ballon d'Alsace. Tougher climb, but isso's point still stands.

Yes his point still stand, I just can't see it being relevant for this discussion. My claim was that Herklotz is as good in long climbs as in hills. Then I can't see how a result from another rider who never broke through as a climber invalidates my original point |

The expansionpack is great! Very good stats and good gameplay.
I want to change a rider his stats, Kangert is too good and is winning the giro at the moment in my game. 80 Mountains and very good time-trail, not realistic I think. I want to change the stats with lachi's editor as I did last year, but now I'am playing with Steam, so I don't know where to change it (the cdb)
Can someone give me a little advice in this?

Your cdb file is located in Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2013\...\ folder same as without Steam.

Niels Albert would be a decent climber in my opinion, just like Kevin Pauwels would be a good sprinter/puncheur. Sven Nys showed he can handle Roubaix and Ronde decently as well. Marcel Meisen and Lars Van der Haar have potential as well. Time to give the cyclocrossers an update!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I search the stats of Jan Polanc cause he isn't in the DB or I'm just to stupid to find him. However, if anybody could give me his stats it'd be very kind. When Polanc isn't in any DB of 2013 the ones of 2012 are also welcomed.
Thanks in advance |

Thanks mike. But shouldn't be there a 13th stat? But this probably is almost the same as stamina or resistance. Thanks again. |

It only works for non-user teams. It is pretty much how long it will take for a rider to give up. F.E. Voigt would have something like 82.

I believe that hasn't been proven. There's a lot of speculation about it. I think we can all agree however, that it has an impact on a rider's ability to get into the breakaway when quick simulating.

FTR (as far as i have ever seen/tested) only has an effect in Quick Simmulation. It simply means "the chance of getting into the BOTD". High FTR stat more likely to get into the break. Low stat and the opposite. And it DOES affect the human team

I remember a while ago there was a guide published. But in the DB editor it says 'Fighting Spirit' which would suggest otherwise to what you're saying, as the human would control a rider's fighting spirit. Definitely not 100% sure though.

Well, no tests have been able to back up what you're saying, Cycleman.
There's still some discussion as to whether what TMM described also works in 3D, but that's pretty much it. |

New DB brings new stats, and new complaints Only just flicked through it briefly but the CT re-do shows with the whole division taking a needed step downwards.
Three things that instantly came to mind:
1) Talents are given too much as starting stats. I get the thinking but sometimes they are over done, especially with how often we say U23 and Junior results don't count for much (Herkltoz was my initial thought, but also one of two Dutchies and Non-Europeans)
2) House needs 70-71-72 HL for this DB. Arguable but i think he is about the best puncher on the UK domestic circuit. Yes he can't match most of the European guys but raising him is easier than dropping every other UK CT rider (arguable one though)
3) Over-rating of certain riders for the available races in the DB. Primarily a European DB but with solid US (not south american) calendar this should be reflected a bit more. Non-Europeans peak differently and this always makes problems, it is better in this DB but some of the Aussies and South Americans are a bit over done for my liking.
Of course a lot of it is personal opinion and i need to spend some more time wading into the depths of potentials and more direct comparisons. But better to have the friendly debate!
Oh, and Gesink and Kelderman are OTT

Caleb Ewan is overpowered in my opinion. He's on 74SP/75ACC right now and i think that's too much. 73/73 sounds like acceptable and realistic stats for him. I know he's most likely going to be a beast in few years, but it's just too early for these stats.
