Amazing stage, it was cycling at is best. Exceptional stage win for an exceptional rider, who¨s tour has been ruined by crashes and bad luck.
It was almost as good as last year when Contador attacked on the Alpe D'Huez stage from the 17th kilometer . Funny that Rolland has won the two most exciting and prestigious stages in the past and the present Tour - absolutely fantastic !
Do someone has a link with video interviews with Wiggins and Froome after the stage?
Have just read some short articles about Froome looking very sad and dissapointed. When he dropped Wiggins i was jumping all over the place, damnit that they didnt continue. That was so emotional, and we havent seen team mates attacking their own leader since the 70's and 80's and maybe something in the early 90's.
It would have been absolutely epic if Froome would have thrown his radio away and just riding his own race - his own vendetta.
Maybe a couple of life threats was been yelled at him in his radio
EDIT: Did just read a longer interview with Wiggins. He said it was a part of the plan for Froome to attack Cadel, as long as he wouldnt drag Nibali etc with him. At the same time a lot of noise was going on in terms of radio communication, and wiggins had lost his radio at this time. So it was all a little unclear and a some kind of misunderstandig.
Hmm sounds to me like a diplomatic response to the media, so they can avoid any internal intermezzos and questioning from the media.

Anybody else notice the "moment of the day" videos on the official tour de france youtube account?
Specifically the music.
Every day, the moment is shown, accompanied by sad music if it's a mass crash or a major name seeing their hopes go down in flames, or uplifting music if it's a fine performance to win a stage (Froome, Vockler, Cancellara).
The stage 9 moment is Wiggins winning the TT. They chose the sad music
EDIT: Meanwhile, Sky have given the journalists a list of acceptable questions to be asked. Oh the LOL.
No doping questions of course.

Btw what about Thibaut Pinot. I think he is the 2nd strongest climber in the race atm behind Froome... |

Massive talent. I hope he can stand the pressure, because it'll be overwhelming. If he can, that guy we'll give us tons of entertainment.
Not sure about being the 2nd best climber of the race though. He was the second best climber today, not so much in the other mountain stages.

Taaramäe give up..when leaders had 7 lead over him.
Total wall..virus and injury ..not enough race km.
He need to be top form to complete a great tour. He's conclusion..you can not ride a great tour when most of you training is done with exercise machine. (april-middle june).
Now it takes a lot to say again next year that he is more than 2012 flop |

Loving all the Sky riders whose radio wasn't working when asked about Froome being reined in
Don't blame Sky for doing it - a win for Wiggins over Froome would be far huger PR in Britain. Made slightly more justifiable by Wiggin's taking the TT and Froome dropping off the pace for a couple of km's before that attack but it's become Vuelta mark 2...

Froome's significant other isn't happy about it though. She's gotten into a fight with Cathy Wiggins over twitter

Nothing against you personally, but I see this so often recently (+ its variations Wigans/Wigan's and Wiggens/Wiggen's (mostly at cyclingnews, though)).
It seems like Wiggins is the most mispronounced rider out there in front of Teklehaimanot and Khalilikhosroshani? I can't see a reason for that.

Nah, she's saying Froome's loyalty is taken advantage of, etc etc

Van Garderen was good today. But I don't forget he was not even with the best 50 climbers on other stage.
He is very inconsistent. Expect him to lose minutes somewhere in another mountain stage |

I see you name Teklehaimanot, and I race you Kruijswijk. Nobody seems to ever spell his name right let stand pronounce. While it's an easy name in Dutch
And there's ofcourse Thurakit Boonratanathanakorn |

The guy's young though, and was very good today. I don't remember a better performance from him in the mountains. Another great talent, although he might get overshadowed by Dombrowski in the future.

Great stuff! Off to check Twitter before they have (diplomatic) 2nd thoughts!
Talking of which Cav's girlfriend (badly) edited her original post about leaving Cav unprotected the other day after he crashed.
Originally she wrote:
"And that is what happens when you take a man that is so harshly marked to the tour without protection."
