Would be surprising if they dont renew Beppu, after all the fuss they made to get him in the first place

To be honest, if it were up to me, they'd be all out the door. None of them are of the quality that a team that bills itself that high needs. They're decent riders. Nothing more.

Not to mention the team needs variety.....but it's Bruyneel. He's not going to go for variety....well, ever.

EDIT: In other news, Adam Blythe says he's sad Lotto didn't offer Wegelius a renewal. So....Wegelius to Sky?

Beppu always seemed to be more of a buy to please the sponsors - so I guess that will decide his fate once again.

Wegelius. Assuming he doesnt retire, which could be a possibility depending on how he recovers from the illness that took him out of the Tour, I havent got a clue where he might go.

The obvious link for any British rider nowadays seems to be Sky. But Wegelius doesnt exactly have a good history with British cycling, see 2005 Worlds.

Well, Beppu (and Li) were initially hired because Discovery Channel were trying to expand into Asia, so his signing in the past was understandable, but he shouldn't be around at this level now. Impey got signed because he's a good worker and would have been a good lead-out man for Steegmans had Radioshack had any intention of forming a sprint train, but there are much better riders who do what he does. McCartney got signed because of the team had a rapidly diminishing American contingent in 05 (which with two new American riders now, they don't need him), and Vaitkus was signed because he was a young power domestique with a good future. He's older now, but is still a strong rider and worker.

Only Vaitkus makes any sense to me to re-sign.

Emanuele Sella is rumoured to Androni.

Possibly to replace Scarponi, so maybe Giro for him next year. I am very pleased. Love Sella

Cyclingnews is suggesting that Thor and Haussler are going to sign with Garmin.

Christer
As far as I heard, that was actually a talk about merging Garmin and Cervelo.... At least that's what procycling.no says.

There are some riders Radioshack signed before this season who just doesn't make sense to me:

Beppu - He was in Discovery, but he makes no sense in this team

Busche - He is 25 years old and has barely ridden

Impey - He won Turkey, but he is not good enough for this level

Irizar - Decent TT rider, but just nothing more (Probably for an ITT team?)

Lequatre - He's french, he's not that young and is not really the type of rider that is of much use

Rovny - Team says he has a bright future, but he can make no more than a decent helper.

Why have The Shack signed all of those useless riders?

Tinkoff/Katusha also continually made the comment that Rovny was a great rider for the future. Yet he has still to make any impact in any race. The only thing I've seen him do all season is be in the break in Plouay.

You also have to remember the "useless riders" are the ones who are strong enough to go back to the car 10 times a race to pick up 10 water bottles and bring them back to the front of the race.

If I'm not mistaking Irizar with someone else, they hired him in the 1st place because he had testicular cancer.

E_Hagen
That might be the reason.

Didn't Lequatre have testicular cancer as well?

Impey hasn't ridden a race at full fitness since Turkey pretty much, he also came top 30 in Poland as well so he clearly isn't useless

they are trying to take over Lampre's "We make weakest transfer rally results show"

Impey has been bad?
All team has been riding under any expectation..who has improved?..no ..who has been in the same level?..
Klöden?..Steegmans?...Impey?..Leopheimer?..(I wont but Lance in this list..it will be riddiculous)

I think at least Tiago Machado has been in good plan for their first season in pro tour
