F. Masciarelli now. So both are out of the race.
Not a good day for them. |

Andrea would make more sense, since he's been hurting since his crash.
On the other hand, Francesco has been awful and finished way behind most days.
As for Petacchi, he's been riding the Giro with bronchitis. It was only a matter of time.

Liquigas need to sort their house out once more, is Basso going to be their best man or do they turn to Nibali NOW is the time to decide.
I say Nibali has to be team leader. It's quite obvious he is much stronger than Basso. Yesterday he constantly had to wait for Basso and still didn't lose too much time (he's only one and a half minute behind Vino, that's good enough).
Nothing is obvious yet. Third week will decide a Giro..
Nibali was prepeared for Tour ...he is great rider. I doubt that he's perfomances will last.
Liquigas don't need to be a choose a leader..they played same idiot role year ago..when team mates Basso and Pellizotti raced against each other all the way.
They have same problems as Columbia had-have with sprinters ..Liquigas have few years now to many potential leaders in one team (Nibali is best). Who just can't manage to work together..and they dont have manager like Riis..who can and will decide. |

Doping discussion apart, this was an epic stage!
This Giro has been awesome so far and we're still in the begining of it. Some of the stages have been more entertaining than some of the major classics we've seen this season.
Can't wait for the high mountain
Sorry to say that, but Iprefer having entertainment during mountain stages instead of enjoying crashes and mud in a Grand Tour.
I mean, GT is about mountains and TTs, isn't it ? I personnally think it's not about the guy who's the luckiest, and who's able to avoid every crash (f**ck Vino )
Yup. Same here.
Well I don't prefer to see the most lucky guy taking all the benefit neither, but for me is far more entertaining to watch a fight for the GC everyday than have to wait almost a week for a mountain stage.
My point is, ok a GT is all about TT and mountain stages but if some classics-like stages come in between I won't complain. Sure it's a pity we have all those falls but luck often comes in the way to decide GTs, unfortunately.

After Petacchi Modolo just abandoned.
There aren`t that many sprinters left. Farrar, Greipel, Henderson, Hondo maybe the strongest. |

So there is a big chance for some worse sprinters like Hinault, Loddo, Gasparotto, Bonnet, Duque, Pedersen, Hondo, Sabatini, Goss, Forster, Cooke or Haedo.. Quite interesting

Wouldn`t say Hondo is a bad sprinter. At the moment he makes a great impression. Even after hilly stages he was one of the few sprinters in the front group.
Can imagine him beating even Farrar after a few mountainstages. |

It makes no sense to me, but then again they're not going hard. The break is gaining time.
