eurosport for some reason are playing Milan-Benfica. how is that more important than a live Vuelta stage?
.......
That's my point.
Sometimes Eurosport is pretty weird. |

you've got your time zones mixed up. it starts right now. you probably looked at the eurosport international schedule...which is GMT +1. you're GMT, right? it's starting now

the group is very reduced. it's just Anton, Sanchez, Evans, Menchov, Sastre, Mosquera, Beltran and the guys from the break that keep getting caught and dropped...
EDIT: Anton worked for Sanchez and is getting dropped

and it's pretty clear that Evans will lose a lot of time today. he's getting dropped as soon as the road starts going uphill again.
if this Vuelta had been harder, he'd be quite a bit further down the standings...

Group Menchov splitted, Menchov is in the second group, but so are Sastre and Sanchez, so it seems there are no worries for him. Antón is in the first group with 2 other Euskaltels who are setting the pace.
Would be more interesting if Sanchez was in the first group, but well |

it's like Anton's stage win last year: he's not a danger so everyone let him go...

either Menchov is amazingly strong and attacked to demoralise Sastre, or he's bluffing trying to get Sastre to think he's so strong when he isn't.

Sastre and Menchov just joined Sanchez now. Guess Menchov really just is so strong, at least not weaker than Sastre.. |

it's not nearly enough for Sastre to keep second overall after the TT. it may just be 25km, but it's a power TT.

Menchov is zombie-like. he looks like he's about to scream for his mommy. I wonder what happens if Sastre pushes a bit more...
