Valverde was 20th and there are no time bonuses. Does Freire get the jersey on average stage placings?
(and I'm being told Freire was blocked )

Freire gets the lead because Valverde et al. lost 2 seconds with the first 10 or so. |

Freire gets the leaders jersey as there was a 2-second-timegap between Efimkin (11th) and Pinotti (12th). |

Freire had to come from a long way round, didnt have great positioning, but there was no real notable block today.

HA HA it was Pinotti who let the gap open. After his twitter comment yesterday, that's awesome

Let's hope Gesink will kick Valverde's ass tomorrow in the queen stage. |

I have a hard head in it. Valverde looks pretty much indestructible at the moment.
Expect Rodriguez to have a go. Both him and Valverde are more explosive than Gesink, so it will be interesting to see if he made the step and hang on this year. |

"My body might be suited for the cobbles but I won't be there. I'll be watching the race with a cola and chips in front of the TV," a smiling Förster said while walking away from the finish in Schoten.
That´s what Förster looks like with his 1,77m and 81 kg

And Ravard (Ag2r) won the other stage that day in a sprint, just ahead of Belletti (Colnago) and Chavanel (FDJeux). |

Amen! I hope he wins. He is getting better this year and honestly in his prime year of 28 29 I think he could get a top 10 in one of the grand tours. And I can't wait for those years.

After the first of two 1st-cat-climbs, Gesink, Peraud and Andy Schleck gain 15 sec on a small bunch where Valverde had some problems to stay with, Freire is gone. |

Kolobnev and an Euskaltel rider was there too.
But that came back, and now we have a group of Cummings, Kloden, A.Efimkin, Voigt, Monfort and 1 or 2 others just ahead of the pack.
A break that includes Txurruka and Fuglsang still lead.
