i did 41 miles at an average speed of 18.9mph on tuesday. quite pleased with that. but then i let myself down by not going out today kept telling myself to rest my legs for sunday but really i just bottled it. unless i win on sunday when i can hail it as a master stroke
they say that if you can ride for 1 hour at an average speed of 18mph on a undulating course then you are ready to start racing.
I managed to beat my much skinnier friend up the hill so he let me go back and do the last bit with a victory salute. Take a guess at who my inspiration is...
I do some races in Portugal where i live, i think i'm good. This year i had an injury, that costed me the first two races of the season but i'm at 100% now and i've done 5th in my first race this season, last week.
This year my main objective is to be Time Trial National Champion
Anyone has a Trek Equinox and a Zipp 909 to support me ? ( )

Ouch. Riding to school, I just blacked out. An (uncomfortable) bandage on my chin, a bruise between my eyes and horrible wounds on the back of my hands. Because I blacked out my hands stayed on my handlebars. Oh, I forgot the worst bit. I need a fucking crown on one of my teeth. Hurts like hell.
Just done a ride to delamere forest and back in under 3 hours with a 15 min brake for lunch. The route is a very hilly route. if you want to see the route go on google maps and type in Widnes to Delamere.

What race you doing?
the bill jinks memorial. i came 20th out of about 90 odd starters. i just left it too late to make my move to the front. if it had been another mile i would have got a top 10 placing because i was moving up to the front fast. the finish was just too narrow to move up to the front at the very end.
I'm pretty sure I've done the Bill Jinks a couple of years ago, finished about 35th myself. That was the longest race I had done up to that point. Top 20 is a good result on a course like that. Any break get away?
nah, 2 blokes managed to stay away for about 1 and a half laps but when they were caught they went straight out the back. Wish i could start the season over again with the confidence that i have now. i'm pretty confident i can get my 3rd cat license this season now.
Nah, no idea. The people in casualty took numerous blood tests. All fine. My dad says it's happened to him twice, both while racing (once on the track) and he's fine. Hasn't happened to him for 20 years.
I did the Bill Jinks also Ringo Came around 25th I think, I am a climber so I hate sprints so I simply eased up. My longest race so far, and I reckon I could notch up a top 10 in a couple of weeks... I was waiting for a decent break to go, but nothing cropped up so I was stuck... Because I am inexperienced I am still kinda scared of failure, so when I should have attacked I didn't
That commisaire likes the car horn lol.
Nice course in my opinion apart from the double whites which are a pain in the backside, someone went into my back wheel up the climb, and came off... I feel bad, because I don't think I did anything wrong, but there is that feeling that I did, when I surely didn't :S.
