Three of the other riders.
British-no hints necessary. Just one word "great"
Australian-sprinter Astana iirc
2nd Australian - stage racer, so far semi-disappointing (not Evans)

Transfer News

Garmin Announces 2 new Trainees

Today I was informed of our newest riders. First off we will be adding two young riders for the end of the season.

Peter McAree - He is a future stage racer from Ireland. He is very similar to Trent Lowe and will be a great help in the upcoming years. He lit up the U23 circuit finishing in 2nd place overall.

i65.photobucket.com/albums/h201/matthew493/McAree.jpg

Egidio Mazzaglia - He isn't the most polished rider as of now but he is still really good on the hills. He has a chance to be a great Puncheur with some training. He stayed under the radar, without taking many major results in the U23 Circuit.

Garmin announces 3 new signings

We start the transfer season off strong by picking up 3 really good riders.

Allan Davis - He is a very good sprinter but so far, he has not lived up to his potential since joining Quickstep. He did win a bunch sprint in the TDF but he has not taken a victory this year. He's 31 years old so he still has a future ahead of him.

i65.photobucket.com/albums/h201/matthew493/Davis.jpg

Luis Leon Sanchez- To make up for the loss of Dekker and Vandevelde, we filled the spot with 1 rider. He is a good climber and a good puncheur so he good either support me or ride on his own. He finished 2nd in the Tour de Suisse which included a stage win and he's also the TT and RR champion for Spain. He finished 9th overall in the TDF.

i65.photobucket.com/albums/h201/matthew493/LLSanchez.jpg

Mark Cavendish- That's right. Mark will be joining us, adding another elite sprinter to our team. He has take 3 stage wins so far this year, 7 2nd places, and countless other great finishes. He's only 26 years old so he has a long future ahead. I guess he was able to put his hate for Garmin behind him.

Garmin Announces 3 More Transfers

Alexandre Pliuschin- He is an all around rider who will be able to help during the Northern Classics, as well as some of the hilly stages. Although he has not had any major results, he was prevalent in the Giro, often getting in the breakaways. He will have an opportunity to show himself off to the world with us.

i65.photobucket.com/albums/h201/matthew493/Pliuschin.jpg

Kirill Kulik - An unknown, Ukranian rider, who will become very strong in the mountains. He will improve greatly with us and have a chance to be a major asset in the moutains, much like Popovych has been. He rode for Astana last year but took no top ten finishes.

i65.photobucket.com/albums/h201/matthew493/Kulik.jpg

Michael Rogers- He has shown great promise in his career, but has yet to completely show it. He did win the Australian TT championships but other than that he has been quiet this year. Hopefully a change of scenery, and a new role will help him become the rider he has the potential to be.

I wonder what Kiril Kulik's stats will be in a few years. He looks very promising. Was he a Future Great?

matt493
I don't know. I must have completely missed him when I was scouting.

Oh nevermind, I just noticed he has already raced for one season.

Goals for Volta a Portugal

-Not Crash
-Get my fitness up before the Vuelta a Espana
-Finish in the top 15
-Help our team get a stage win
-Not Crash

The lack of good climbers in the race allows me to have a chance at winning but since my fitness is very low after a month and a half off, I will not be surprised if I can not contend for the GC.
