Tour de France Champion Posts: 17833 Joined: 12-05-2012 PCM$: 0.00	Moving on... Not sure the Nations Ranking was that great an idea, or at least it needs some serious rebalancing. Despite not winning a jersey Netherlands won it by 115points ahead of France. 2x 1-2 nation USA only finished 4th, behind Australia who also didn't win a jersey. In fact winning a jersey didn't help you at all, with New Zealand, Denmark and Austria outside the Top10. Poland, who only got one bronze in the WJ RR, were 6th ahead of 4 medal Germany and world champions GB, Belarus and Slovakia. One medal for Lithuania got them just about level with Canada. I just think the ranking is horribly balanced with far too much weight for the Elite road races and not enough reward for winning an world title. On the up side, there was no difference in scoring between the mens and womens races.
