I think the 16 riders is a bad idea, just redo Almeria seems fairest? (although adjusting the rankings will be a butch :/ )
Redo Almeria its not the fairest way, i think (and not because i win).
MAybe counting an average from points gained by all teams and give to Perv. |

Still trying to find out what went wrong...
But i think i have a solution! Not definitive yet, but a good looking idea
Pervyj receives their average points per race day!
I've done the really easy math, and it equates to just less than a Top20 result
What do people think, fair or not?

The main problem is that with Almeria (well, aside form that the race would've looked totaly differently ), teams had a higher chance to score points, because there was a team missing. Likewise if you have Perv with a double team in the next race, the chances for those teams will be lower.
I still think it's easiest to just redo the race, no harm has been done yet. I even think TMM said reporters had to rerun races if there was a mistake with the startlist. But can't seem to find that quote
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Final Decision
Re-running the race! Won't be a report, just the results

It was far far the fairest ideea. Far better then the redo....
If you redo, then its a PUNISH for all the teams that scored, if you stick with the average points, the teams keep the points earned and the missing team EARN points too...

Ok, i understand that, but its not the fairest thing.
1. Not redo and + average fpr Perv. All the teams keep the points + Perv gain points
2. Redo. All the teams can lost points (weird AI) + Perv gain or not gain any points.
In 1st case all (including Perv) has to gain something.
In 2nd case the points will be randomized. |

Im very dissapointed. Not because the results, but because you asked opinions about the redo or not redo, but after only 2 (!) (i and Olldardh) opinions you made the choice ... This is fair?

I have to agree with jaxika here, and not because the results are worse for me.
The old, "evil TMM" would have said: It's a race, and these are the results! But now we redo races, I don't like it
If it was a bug, the average point method would have been the best thing to do, and certainly not redoing the race.

Only because Ollfardh pointed out i had said that any starlist errors equal a redo. Its a rule i will stick to rigidly, sorry. If it happens again then the same thing, a redo. Its setting an example for future mistakes.

This is not true because when were LESS riders (Tirreno or P-N) then the required, the race not was redone!!!!!!!!!! |

Read the another quote with the 6 man team? It was against the rules but isnt was redo.... Why there not redo and here yes? THAT was the future example.... |

Slight difference between redoing a 1 day classic, and a 7 day stage race.
From here on in, those errors will result in re-runs.

Hmm I'm feeling sorry here for Jaxika, but I'm convinced this was the fairest.
And yes, I'm aware that my own points have gone up.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

You can talk easier with the new 2nd and 3rd plcaes now ....
BTW ... MAnx ... if you want to be the fairest then count the points for the two race, double Pervs points.... and then halve all the points (that way will be one race points again).
Just an example: Ollfardh gain 9th in 1st race = x points, Ollfardh gain 2 and 3 places in 2nd race = y points. Then z=(x+y)/2, where the z its the final points.

Never done because your rider won. Done to give every team the fairest chance in the race. If i gave Pervyj x points, it could be argued that they may not have received any points at all, like a few teams in the race. If i don't give them points, it could be argued that they would have earned some points. If they get more riders in another race then its unfair to the other teams in that race. In my opinion the fairest solution to all teams is to re-run the race.
Also i did not make a mistake. They were in the startlist but didn't start. (for the record i have now found what caused the problem, and it won't happen again)
Perhaps you could give me a solution that is fair to everyone ie. no-one can put forth a fair argument against it? There are 28 teams and i have to be as fair to them all as possible, and re-running the race gives all 16 involved teams an equal chance to score points, and has no impact on the other 12 teams.

As I said, I'm aware that my points have gone up, but if you scroll up, you'll see that I asked for a redo from as soon as I saw the mistake. I don't think you should blame TMM either, no one here noticed it until I checked my rankings.
Personaly, I don't think the scores of the first race can count in any way, since they are the result of a different race with different odds to win. But again, I feel sorry for you and I know I'd be upset myself if this was happening to me.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.
