That would be HUGE for Saxo Bank-SunGard. And would also just make Riis' transferseason from very bad to very good imho. |

If winning the Giro in such a dominant manner and winning Flanders is very bad, i would like to know what is very good
But i agree it would be a nice deal, if Froome is clean

Why does everyone think that froome is the next Schleck? Yes, he shined at the Vuelta, but where was he before (speaking of Grand Tours)? And its known and generally accepted that the Vuelta has the weakest field of any GT. To shine there is a lot easier than shining in the tour or the giro...

I can't see how the transfer season has anything to do with winning the Giro and RVV. |

I agree. Peter Velits finished 3rd last year but we haven't heard much of him this season. This Vuelta could be the launch pad for Froome or a one time in a life performance.

I do not usually venture onto Twitter, but I just checked Chris Froome's page and on the short time I was on it he started following Alberto Contador. Or at least I think that's what happened. Coincidence? |

i think sastre will leave to movistar or saxobank/astana (if they merge).
movistar hasnt a leader for the next year that can earn some points (perhaps visconti) as valverdes points will not count and after the tragedy of xavi tondo there isnt really a good grand tour rider at movistar. (dont tell me that karpets is a good rider for grand tours)
why saxo bank? i think carlos sastre needs some morale boost as he wasnt as good as he was at csc with bjarne and they need some "good" riders for alberto
and i hope so chris froome is going to saxobank and also other (good) riders (i hope machado, cardoso and paulinho will go to saxo bank - would be better than other crap that bjarne bought last year). if not, i think alberto will have some serious problems after porte, larsson leave. (i dont count baden cooke as a good rider at the moment and he wasnt a help for alberto). if they will merge with astana and alberto is cleared from the doping allegations, i think next year we will have a very very very interesting season with teams like: quickstep (omega), leopard-radioshack, bmc, astana saxobank, sky.
other transfers:
pujol from omega to andalucia caja granada
julian dean, wesley sulzberger, leigh howard to greenedge
