züri metzgete
I decided to send quite strong team..but all seems to end with question who is in bette r shape has in worlds..where Voigt was just to much for rest of the squad.
Predictor
91. C.Horner
92. M.Aerts
93. D.Cioni
94. J.Jufre Pou
95. M.Lloyd
96. G.Steurs
97. P.Van Hecke
98. J.Van den Broeck
We have also in startlist Di Luca, Bettini, F.Schleck, Perreiro, Arroyo , Leipheimer, Rebellin..solid list
Hamilton, Arroyo, Zberg is first serious atackers at the stage..there is just to much to go..this is quite useless.
Nocentini is second atacker..this is good to see him back..Last time when he was in the picture and serious rider was Giro...seems like Giro stars are also most colorful riders at the end of the season..most of the peloton looks so tyred..they need a winter break already.
This is what cycling is all about..4 hours waiting then prime atack..Di Luca, Merckx, Monfort and Boogerd.
Second wave Grivko , Bettini and Horner..Chris has difficulty to keep up with them..But he is also best material what I have at this time the season
..And ups..Predictor-Lotto spring leader and Evans main helper at the TdF hit the wall..Bettini and Grivko has gone. Frank Schleck coming at behind and passes him..easy and fast.
At front ..Boogerd trying to atack several times..to get away..he has info that Schleck, Grivko and Bettini closing at behind..no chanche he didnt have nothing left
..and here they are..now for me best winner candidate would be..Schleck..Horner have to push harder..I just found new goal for him..keep himself inside top 3 at CYA ProTour table
"killer" was suspecting that Schleck is to strong today..he atacks before the sprint..risky move ..
Sprint..I know that Di Luca is better sprinter but I was almost shure that this is the day when Schleck will beat him at the final sprint.
But now..Di Luca has won the stage after all..he is back after succesful Giro..silver medal at Stuttgardt and win here..

Björn has is point..I didnt even noticed that one..just looking results..I remember how Bettini coming fast at the end..but final result shows that Merckx was third..AI must go mad at the end of the season..all this grazy tranferes (made no reason to play another year)..and now AI started to mess with final results. |

McEwen, Rodriquez are both in the lineup..biggest Predictor lotto hope wil be Zanini who is in much better shape..also I will give free role for Leukemans if he have oportunity then he will atack.
Breschel, Paolini, Feillu atack..
Feillu had small advantage after atack..all expected that Paolini and Breschel will close that gap down fast and easy..finish line getting closer and closer. Peloton seems to have giving up today...Feillu looks so strong on small hills..he wil collect CYA stage win if he dont crack.
Leukemans makes he's move just before final hill..he atacks..
Team Agritubel wins..this can be another good argument for UCI to give them next year protour license.
Leukemans cant keep up all theh way..sprinters coming at behind..Boonen 4th.

Mendrisio - Como
Belived or not..this is last stage at my season..after race is time to post some season stats..and transfer , relegation news. But now season last pearl.Main goaö is keep Horner in podium in CYA top tour ranks. Clear winner Evans dont wanted to go...but finaly he decided to go and help he's season main helper Horner on he's goal
Last stage at the season and blenty action..Pasamontes is main man at the early breakaway group..and Arroyo decided to cach them also. Tempo in peloton is extremly high..this would be nice race.
Oaah..90km. to go and one of the main favorites Di Luca his down..this will be hard to get back..tempo is high. 3 team mates come back to help him out..long this effort looks like unsuccesful..finaly Di Luca get back inside the group that show's he's great form after summer break.
57km. to go..action time Frank Schleck atacks with Inglisky and Boogerd..
...Ricco and Horner follows. Horner plays a little dirty game..he knows that CYA main contender Di Luca has just get back on main group..and must be take a pause. Chris uses that moment.
They are closing to Pasamontes group..peloton hasnt aslo given up..great battle is on..
Horner has moved to lead todays race..he must keep tempo high has possible to avoid situation where all riders comes back togeteher again.
When Ricco and Schleck has moved to help him out..success. They have small advantage back again..and early breakaway is destroyed..last man who has to give up follow them is Arroyo and Pasamontes. Now strong trio is clear.
There is lot of discussion between those 3..now one dont want relay and Ricoo trying to atack several times.
..and result is that Bertagnolli, Visconti and Rebellin has joined with group after atack from peloton.
..and Horner who has done lot of work today..has he's first difficulty moment's..but he is fighting. After downhill section they all are back together.
Evans like to share nice pictures to Italian people..he makes he's own move just before hill top. No chanche peloton caches him fast.
Last 10km starts..Visconti and Bertagnolli atacks just before the tunnel..Horner is in difficulty again...
But when they come out at the tunnel they all are back together and Ricco atacks..
Another Bertagnolli move..downhill section he finds some extra speed and trying to sneak away.
Before last km. Horner loose contact again..now for good..great ride and fighting that race will probably secure he's third spot in CYA table..
Bertagnolli..
Bettini wins the main group finish..and Evans get he's own win..he will beat Di Luca today in final sprint.

I'didnt..he himself decided to go..
Yep this story is over..season done..pioner at PCM daily..damn this was long.
No reason to countinu after those not logical and grazy tranfers..Better to wait when new season starts and get 2008 db..and then staring to look a team. that would be fun again.
At least I know now why Milram wanted me as manager..no protour at the next year. |
