that has a very simple and logical explanation:
"Ronald Koeman" I still don't know why the hell Valencia hired him. He's so overrated as trainer, he never did good at Vitesse. He did reasonable at Ajax, but only 1 season was good, the other was crap. And at PSV they went from 'the best by far' to 'lucky championship win with 1 goal difference'.... thanks to koeman. He is really not a good trainer. But because he is so famous as footballer they keep hiring him
its the same with van basten, rijkaard, gullit, blabla although rijkaard is half-decent and gullit wasn't superbad either. But most of ex-football players suck as coach. |

you can't possibly be serious. I never thought anyone would say that. it's glaringly obvious that he was awful. he not only is he a horrible coach, wherever he goes he sells some of the teams best players for peanuts and persists in playing guys who aren't even good enough for the third division, like Beto and Moretto.

I agree on all counts, except Rijkaard. Rijkaard is god awful. and now that Ten Cate is no longer there to support him, it shows even more.
EDIT: remember at Ajax? one day Koeman just woke up and thought "van der Vaart would make a good lone striker. and Zlatan a good right winger. and while we're at it, let's play Mido at defensive midfielder"

But he was also hilarious at PSV, he lost a few very good players and the ones he bought back are really, reaaaaally bad... his scouting really sucks. |

Seems like there's no need for a football forum - you only need one topic |

well, Sporting screwed up (2-2 with Roma) and that means that we'll be going down in the european rankings
for those who don't know what the ranking is, it's a ranking that serves to determine how many clubs from each country enter european competitions.
it's built in such an insanely stupid way (I won't go into details) that what happens is that Holland, Portugal, Romanian and Greece are yo-yo-ing all the time. up, then down. then up. then down. it's just stupid.
and so, it seems that Romania might just have a bunch of teams in the champions league two seasons from now.
after that it'll probably be Holland. with Greece fading, Portugal will probably be next.
and so on and so on...
(not that I care, Porto is guaranteed in the CL every year as national champions )

it's uefa's ranking, not FIFA's. and the way it works is extremely simple, which is exactly the problem.

Don't worry, I'm not a Copenhagen-fan But since they are Danish I of course cheer for them.
Besides, I'm getting used to the fact that Danes suck at all sports. |

Well, as you know I'm not a huge football fan. I do watch games every now and then, but it's not like I care that much. That said, I'm a fan of a team in Denmark called "AGF" which is currently placed 10th out of 12 in the Danish league
Other than that, I've always been a Manchester United-fan. |

Keep one thing in mind: When I got interested in football, Schmeichel was the star of the United-team. For a nationalistic Dane like me, how would it be possible NOT to become a fan of United? |
