Abasi Abundi's manager would like to announce that the rider is close to an agreement, which shall see the rider join CCC for the rest of the season.
Abundi said, "I'm really looking forward to joining a pro team as I think that this will be the start of a good career for me, and I hope that I will be able to be competitive with the best sprinters of the work, in the near future." He also said that he felt, 'Honoured to be given the opportunities that he has had in his earlier career.' he continued on to say that he owed his success in his amateur career due to his adopted parents who have given him any help they are able to do.
