On a more serious note, I fully agree with you.
The only thing about Dutch team is that they really have only one center forward (Van Persie). If he gets injured or whatever, I really think Dutch team will have some problems, because you can't play a WC with only midfielders, and no center forward.At the end of the match, there was nobody in the center, just in front of the goal. But Van Persie's still there, and I hope he'll make a great WC.

I must admit than compared to what I heard from Denmark, they weren't really what I expected to... neither were Netherlands, a weak weak match from what I've seen. They'll have to improve both if they want to do something great. |

Holland didn't play their best game, but they still won 2-0 (and in the end they were closer to 3-0 than 2-1). If you win your bad games like that, you are a contender for the title. Remember Italy in 2006. Did they play a good game? No. They needed an undeserved penalty against Australia for example.

You're right, but I just don't want to see Netherlands becoming another Italia... they have a better playstyle, they have more speed, they have real shooters, they don't need to cheat. We have enough of one corrupt team... |
